Lumalabas pagka Pilipino ko when driving. I enjoy driving in the US so much!!! I am not used to cars giving way when I signal.
Kanina we were on a stop at the intersection, nag green and the car in front wasn't moving so I mouthed "Ang bagal naman! Bilisan mo" Then I prepared to switch lanes. My Aunt said, the car in front is turning right and there are pedestrians. Sabi wala pa nga kong license at alien lang ako e ang aggressive ko daw mag drive HAHAHA! Sometimes napapasalita ako mag isa when I drive kasi. Nahiya tuloy akoHindi naman ako aggressive driver, sobrang bait ko nga mag drive.
Be careful when you do that. The lanes near stoplights or any intersections are marked by solid white lines. You cannot cross a solid white line unless being waved by a cop or traffic enforcer to do so.
That's an easy $80 traffic ticket in IL. If a cop didn't catch you, mounted cameras will take a picture and a letter with the traffic citation will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle.
That's 16 min of my life well wasted. [emoji4]

It was a painful $80 ticket that I had to pay when I switched into a bus lane at an intersection in downtown Chicago. My only traffic ticket in the long time I have driving in the US.
My Pinoy boss in Upstate New York also paid the same when he switched to the rightmost lane on the intersection.![]()
Or else, you'll have road rage to ruin your day. One time, I was making a left turn on the way home. I was on the inner lane of two turning lanes. When it was time to turn, I turned while staying in my lane. But, A Mazda 3 on the outer lane next to me veered into my lane and cut me off. That forced me to slam my brakes, causing those behind me to slam their brakes as well. Naturally, I got ticked off and sped after the Mazda 3. It turned out to be a female driver. I shook my head and sped off. I just wanted to get home and cool off. But, the other drivers got really pissed off. When I looked behind on my rearview mirror, they had surrounded her car and probably cussing her out....brake checks....
Gotta be careful about road rage. A lot of drivers here are probably armed.

I love driving here! But I am afraid to drive in the freeway because the cars are so fast
I could buy a lot with $80. What if they made tickets in the PH as expensive as the US? Will Filipinos be more disciplined. Here I am very afraid to get a ticket
Not going there anymore haha!
Wow, I hope I never encounter aholes, so far everyone has been polite. Maybe it has to do with the state? Is it true there are more aholes in Florida? My Uncle and Aunt hate it there.
madami pala talagang ENGOT sa fb groups
di naman sila tinatanong, sasabat na magtanong ka sa casa, eh bakit pa tayo nag uusap online diba? O_o
Driving on interstates and freeways is quite easy. You just follow the cars in front of you, keep a proper distance, stay within your lane, and pass only when needed. Cruising at 65-75mph is similar to cruising 105-120kmh. Fighting off the boredom is the thing you have to mind when driving on interstates.
Florida drivers are not as bad as NYC or LA drivers.
