I like driving here, kasi sa 2 weeks ko driving, wala pang AHOLE. Lahat mabait, pag nag signal ako pagbibigyan ako, it's like everyday is a lazy Sunday afternoon drive![]()
My family is teasing me I better get ready when I turn 40 because it's the decade of aches and pain. It came up because my "sister" said her handwriting changed when she turned 40. Omg! We are supposed to have the same handwriting since we went to the same school but hers has always been better.

Ridiculous. When I was 40, I was still playing full-court basketball with a bunch of bros. Even though I was the shortest guy, I was scoring more points than some of them. It's only when I reached 50 that I voluntarily restricted myself to half-court games.
Even though I'm half a century old, I still don't have that much aches and pains. If you keep yourself active all the time, you'll age slower.
Look at her. 51 years old and that's her adult son.I'm impressed.

In my alumni basketball league, there are still 2 teams of mid 50's guys who play regulation (whole court and all), and play real hard. A lot of them were former varsity players, semi pro & pro players.
I swear you get pretty banged up playing against those guys. One of them even gave my jaw a pabaon (he was a known enforcer for our school during his collegiate days) and i believe my fillings were still shaking a week after. [emoji23]
do what you gotta do so you can do what you wanna do

When you get inside the keyhole, you know you're going to get banged up. The bros here. The muscle-bound laborers over there. Some of those laborers are quite big and they foul all the time. One nudge and there I go, getting acquainted with the pavement. Lots of things come my way: elbows, palms, even body odor.A skinned knee here, a bruised elbow there. We're guys. So, I just shrug it off.
That's why I improved my medium range (outside the key but inside the 3-point line) jumpers. High percentage shot for me and easier to find a good shooting spot.
Anyway, those with Asian stock tend to look younger than their years if active. I guess it's just the stereotype of getting old and finding the time to be active. Gotta earn a living, take care of family. Finding time to do what can be considered a "chore" is hard.

Father's Day here. That means, I'm chillin' out. Nice and cool inside even though it's +100F outside.
Also, thanks to the $1500 gift from my kid. That's how much repairs to the car will cost. Thank goodness for insurance, my out of pocket cost is 1/3 of that amount. I guess I'm not buying a new (RTX) video card this year.

Sarap siguro mag shopping pag USD ang sweldoMy "sister" shops as if there is no tomorrow. I am not proud to say that I am gastador but she makes me feel kuripot, ako na pumipigil. She literally has two rooms full of designer clothes, shoes and bags, mostly with labels pa!!! (She's my Mom's anak anakan here in the US) I benefit naman kasi damin binigay sakin na clothes. I would NOT do her job though.
BUT BUT BUT opposite naman yung ex GF ng cousin ko who lives with us at humiram pa ng pera sa Aunt ko because she only has 300 USD in her bank account and it's ear marked na for bills. WOW! Totoo pala na may mga tao dito na pay check to pay check.
Hi Cathy. Yes, I have relatives in the US who lived from paycheck to paycheck. Lalu na noong nagka-recession (pre-Clinton Presidency). Our relatives in the PH had to send them money kasi they were laid-off from work. Eh yung pang toll fee nga hindi alam kung paano babayaran.![]()
Now they're doing a lot better pero ang hirap nung pinag-daanan. Savings was not part of their vocabulary.
My cousins all went to serve in the US Armed Forces (Navy and Marines) so they could avail of free tertiary schooling.
how can living paycheck to paycheck be easy?
after paying the bills you got nothing left
you may not be able to go to work and lose your job coz you can't afford a major car repair
you can end up becoming a homeless person due to a medical problem
a major anxiety of many americans is they don't have enough savings to retire

yeah food stamps
buti sa US meron ganyan social safety net
ayaw ng Republicans ang food stamps coz it encourages those on welfare not to look for work

dito sa Pinas pag wala ka na makain aasa ka nalang sa private individuals/orgs who put up soup kitchens... ung libre lugaw
I couple the paychecks with blind FAITH....Foolish? Perhaps...but not when 1 isn't blessed w/ much choice.[emoji58][emoji120]
Someone I believe in said long ago...
"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"[emoji120]
