Gasoline prices are creeping up again. Last month, average gas prices for the state was barely above $2/gal. Now? It's at $3.11/gal. We used to be near the bottom in nationwide gas prices. Now? We're in the top ten states (9th place) with the highest gas prices.

the year started with a lot of gasoline stock so prices were low

so refiners didn't produce much to let the inventory go down

as gasoline inventory went down prices went up this spring

at the same time a number of US refineries shut down for maintenance adding to upside pressure on gasoline

but refineries will return and gasoline production will pick up

US gasoline prices won't stay at current levels for long

Gas prices in San Francisco are high, much like in Manila. Around $4 per gallon.

That's what I tell myself. If it's bad here, it's worse in CA and not just with gas prices. There are the silly laws and ordinances, the politics, etc. Still, our next road trip will probably be in CA again.

The cops seem to have increased their visibility over the past few weeks. Everyone are well-behaved to the point I removed my dashcam....at least, until the next road trip. But, here in town, it's been boring lately. There hasn't been a single juicy video footage in a while.

It's possible that subconsciously you don't want to leave the country then. Going to a movie instead to 'escape' what's coming or to delay it as much as you can.

Have you spoken to Crush yet? That could be another reason why you don't want to acknowledge to yourself that you're leaving soon.

It wasn't party naman, just dinner with friends. They aren't my core group (malaki barkada namin) so that's one reason why I am not so interested in going.

You should definitely go. They planned it and for sure spent their own time, effort and money just to make you feel special before you leave.

It will be foul if you skip it and worse just for the deliberate reason of watching a movie by yourself. Just think of it this way, what if the tables turned and it is crush who skips the despedida dinner that you planned and setup?! Im sure you'll be ranting a lot about it here too. [emoji6]

I ended up not going but I got KARMA because my officemate (who I originally ditched) saw me on Friday looking at the screening times, so she asked me what I was doing LOL Apparently, she still wanted to watch it with me because she does not like watching movies alone. I ended up just going to the salon on a Friday night and rescheduling to next week (which is today).

When I checked the screening time of Avengers, wala na naman primetime sa central square OMG!!! So I had to file for HALF DAY just as so I can accompany myt friend/officemate because this is the only day I can watch and I can't be puyat because I have to go to the hospital tomorrow.

If crush stood me up, he'd never hear from me again. Setting up and organizing parties is my thing and that shows he has no respect for me. Pero crush is not like that naman, one of the many things I admire about him, pag sinabi niya ginagawa niya
