Yup. Depressing nga e. She would never have approved of him 10 yrs ago. He is not Roman catholic kasi. But she approves of our age gap (almost 15 yrs) Teenager pa lang ako sinasabi na ng Mom ko I should marry someone 10 yrs older. Hehe.

I consider my daddy-job as done when our eldest kid turned 21. It's up to her to manage her own personal life. The wife still treats her like a 14-year old. I haven't quite told the wife yet that it's time to let go and concentrate on the youngest one.

"Filipinos baby their children too much"

This is what one foreigner told me a long time ago.

    There's actually truth to it.

Especially if the parents are well to do.

But caucasians also do. There's this trend online on preparing artsy food for their children (and I have friends who do it) Like they make animal designs from the fruit or sandwich.

Nung bata ako, if I did not touch the food my parents or second mom served me, I would starve. I would eat mashed kalabasa that looked like sh1t. They are not gonna carve a swan out of an apple just as so it would look appetizing for me.

I do agree that Filipinos baby their children too much, but other foreigners also do.

Just to clarify, the foreigner I quoted was referring to "children" 18 years old and above

I guess he balked at the fact that these adults, which technically they are, are still supported by the parents in all aspects of life as if they are still incapable of living life on their own.

Being given cars, allowances, even after graduating from college, and being just over all "palamunin" sa bahay.

I agree 100%. I witnessed that in my own family.

I guess it's okay for parents to spend on their adult children if it's just extra income for they are spending on them. All of my close friends got their first property with the help of their parents pa rin. Mahirap kasi makapag pundar with the salary here in Manila, unless you are exceptional in your career. But not everyone can land high paying jobs after graduation.

I don't see anything wrong with how others raise their kids. If parents want to nurture their adult kids further, that's their business.

Me? I want my kids to be able to stand and enjoy life on their own; have their own network. My encouragement is geared towards them being independent. Should they stumble? We'll still be around if they need us. Our eldest kid is starting to understand the freedom of being an adult. I'm like, "Yaaaay! " It seems to worry the wife though.

Is AirBNB's cancellation policy reliable? I booked a place but want to cancel it now, it is still within the 48 hour free cancellation policy of the host. Thanks for any feedback.

Nothing is on the table yet. But my gut feel since the start of the year says its time.

I have been hearing and seeing "loyalty" keyword a lot sa emails and simple chat. Malamang nararamdaman na nang boss ko. Hehehe. Actually, loyalty sa other boss ko and team ang nagpapastay sa akin. Pero can't shake off the feeling na kelangan nang tapusin para makausad.

I meant, may makukuha ka na ba na retirement if you leave the company now? Most companies kasi, you get retirement pay after 5 yrs

Meron pa ba gumagamit ng hanky ngayon?

That is one of my turn ons in a guy/girl. It gives me the impression na masinop siya.
