So there was this girl at FB. Niloko ng BF, she's been posting on FB how it hurt and magpapakamatay na lang sya. A lot of her friends are laughing, not taking her seriously calling it drama, some even egging her to do it. And she did commited suicide. I wonder how her friends feel now.

Pwede pa kaya ma repair ang microwave oven ko? Umaandar pa, but it cannot heat things anymore. May kapalit na naman sya na smart oven, but kung mura lang pa repair, gusto ko sya as back-up unit.

I think it's only normal to assume that everyone on social media are fine. Not everyone are gifted with a sharp mind to see something is definitely wrong. Until the drastic happens and it's already too late. It's rather difficult deciphering people's thoughts on mere posts and emojis. We think they are just being an attention whore or "epal" or something like that.

I've actually interacted with people on social media who are bipolar and suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. They themselves revealed it publicly and we kind of sympathized and understood why they behaved and post that way. They post a delusion of grandeur repetitively without end. Sometimes, they'll just snap at you out of nowhere. They are extremely sensitive on the tiniest matter.

I think the best way is to simply ignore or avoid them or change nick if they are making you a target of their delusions.

unless there's a simple issue like loose wiring then it's most likely the magnetron, which is expensive to replace. but check your warranty first my whirlpool has a 5yr warranty on the magnetron if i remember correctly...

    yes

people see all those seemingly happy people on their social media feeds and think "why is everyone else happy except me?"

"why are other people always having such a great time except me?"

... it's possible that there has always been the same percentage of depression ... most of them are undiagnosed, misdiagnosed or just simply ignored ... with the advent of social media and modern technology, most of us are made aware that it actually exists and a lot of people have it ...

There was also a research that too much social media usage can cause depression ...
Is social media causing childhood depression? - BBC News
Teens + Social Media = Depression? Is Social Media Affecting Mental Health?
Why Does Social Media Make You Depressed? | Healthy Place

Like what Obama said ... the world has always been messy ... we just noticing now because of social media ... actually things are less dangerous now than they were before ...

Depression & suicide among kids & young adults are so prevalent nowadays so much so that the guidance counsellor's office in my old school apparently now has several therapy dogs In its employ.

In some cases, depression is merely a symptom of a bigger mental health issue like bipolar and schizophrenia.
