    hello. first timer here. i have a question i hope somebody can help.

    we bought a new montero sport last year, model is year 2016. how long/validity of the car registration (i mean before we renew the registration)? i searched on the internet and it says there the registration for a new car is 3 years. which site to go to to confirm this is true? pardon if i sound silly but i have little knowledge about registration, and all.

    appreciate your help!

    When was this bought?

    Yes, the initial registration is valid for 2-3 years, then you will need to renew annually every year thereafter.

    Example assuming the car was bought in June 2016, and the ending plate number is 1, which means you will need to renew the car in January (assuming you do have a plate number).

    The initial registration only covers 2.5 years... June 2016 --> 2017 --> 2018 --> Jan 2019

    If wala pang plate, better verify with the LTO as to what month you should be registering the car. You may also want to get in touch with the dealership that sold the car, so they can contact you instead of the old owner once the plates are released. You may be asked to show them documents proving purchase from the old owner.

    the good news is, pro rata yung subsequent registration fee, to make up for the overlap of registration coverage.

    Ours is still without plate number and so will register based on the ending number if the conduction sticker, which was my request for my plate ending number....😎😉

    Anybody here with a Xiaomi Robovac? Saw it at the Mi store earlier tonight in Megamall. Looks pretty cool.

    Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum cleaner - what lays behind the hype

    I also saw this rice cooker which looks like the expensive ones they have abroad, but only costs 4k:

    I love the designs of these Mi appliances, I wonder if they last long though.

    Yes doc! One extra step though. You have to mix the rice just before serving to make it fluffy. Had it for a month na. So far wala pang palpak.
