I just had lunch with my friends (my age) today and none of them took out their phones while eating.

Last week I had lunch with my older friends (40s and 50s) and none of them used their phone over lunch

I'm wondering ako lang ba mahilig mag check ng phone talaga

I make it a point to have a rule when eating either out or at home. Gadgets before or after eating only - not during. Only exception is when there's a call because that had to be answered or emergency messages. If the family members want to take pics of the food, they can do so before people start digging in. I always tell them respect the company and the food in the table. I really don't like seeing people gather around the dinner table then eat while tinkering with their gadgets particularly opening social media sites.

Precisely the exception, doc. Calls or messages may be looked at and responded to if needed be but simply browsing, for instance, fb or ig, etc shouldn't be tolerated.
