Around 10 years ago may nakasabay akong doctors on the way to Busuanga, Palawan together with med reps. And yes the vacation is sponsored by a big pharma co. Sa sobrang galante ng med reps naka-libre pa ako ng boat transfers at sight seeing sa Calauit Island kahit di yun kasama sa package tour ko.

I used to not be able to go to the doctor or dentist without my Mom or Dad or Aunt or Lola. But now that they are all senior, I don't want them to go with me since seniors have to avoid hospitals. Niloloko pa ko dati kasi kailangan may katabi ako pag kukunan blood. Now I do everything alone.

That's the main reason I'm suffering from diabetic compilations right now. I used to hate hospitals, it's such a depressing place, then I have to go alone as we can't both take leaves at the same day. Tapos yun nga 1 day leave pa. Pag dating mo sa hospital maghahantay ka pa ng ilang oras.

Then my complications hit me and I I'm forced to take care of my diabetes and go to hospital check ups. I found out that taking care of diabetes and hospital check ups is a lot easier than managing complications. If only I knew it back then.

alam nyo madali naman lifestyle choices eh, ang problema taong nakapaligid sayo, if you hangout with people who loves to eat and the slouch then relax, kahit gano nyo pa i-aim na bumuti lifetstyle nyo walang mangyayari talaga

for example, I had friends before who would like to go out of town. so we went subic, baguio, punta fuego etc. alam nyo pagdating namin sa destination, lahat sila nag-aagawan sa remote control ng TV, kasi manonood pa daw ng game or something. so I would sit there stare at them, making them feel na ready na ako lumabas, yes lumabas sa room at mamasyal. then they would hate stare mo na killjoy daw ako. if it was not for me, hindi nila malalaman na yun kabayuhan sa baguio pag may inakyat kang steep stairs would bring us all the way to the Mansion. sila ang gusto mag-kotse pa

so ganun, yun pala byahe namin from manila to the destination, napagod sa sila ng husto dun. and then pag lalabas kami sa place, ang gusto kainan din puntahan

that's 90% of the Filipinos right now, ang concept ng going out is eat. also applies to travelers, I just can't reconcile how would travel 1000km to 2000km away from home para mag-food trip sa ibang bansa.
there was a friend who suggested na magpunta kami sa Naples which is out of the way of our itinerary btw and would cost P10000 for eurorail, why would he want to go to Naples, kasi andun daw pinakamasarap na Pizza na original and authentic sa buong Italy. eh sabi ko eh kung ganun pala eh pumunta na din tayo sa Bologna Italy. his face was irked by my suggestion

you don't even need to go out scheduling activites like biking, hiking, go carting or whatever. just walk around. in my 5 days in new York, I walked the entire thing from UN 1st ave, to lower manhattan, to mid manhattan to the upper manhattan and central park. when I was In Dc, I walked from every national monument from White House to all the memorials.

the only person na tumagal na kasama ako, my wife who is equally fit. when i'm at BGC, I walk from SM Aura, to Serendra to Uptown Mall, to Shangrila Mall to ForbesTown Center to BGC Stopover then back to Fort Strip and BGC Performing ARts / and Spaceman mercato. when Im in QC, my wife's family hometown, I would park sa Mindanao parking sa Trinoma and then walk from there to SM City Annex then back.
I just love walking. Id rather to this than sit in a couch and watch movie marathons with potato chips. I just love walking cities, I dont even like nature tripping. siguro one day I'll go to Chicago and walk around

My Lola didn't allow my cousin to get a med rep job after college. She told my cousin he is better off staying at home and she will take care of his expenses until he gets a non sales job. BUT I did not know that med reps were treated that badly That is demoralizing!

My first cardio is old na. I don't think he practices for money, he does not even accept HMO. I saw how med reps are treated as second class in his office. I guess their "gifts" can't influence him?

I feel the same about hospitals. Being around sick people drains me emotionally

Medyo self pity lang ako kanina kasi wala ako kasama sa doctor. But then I found out my colleague also went to the doctor alone kanina. I'm just lucky that my bosses are so kind to me. They allow me to come in late or take long breaks to go to the hospital so missing work is not a problem.

When I found out about my diabetes I was more worried about not drinking coke. Haha. I so deserve to be diabetic. Lagi akong flavored drink bihira almost never a water. Ngayon na lang I found out water ain't that bad sa taste especially when cold, ngayon na huli na lahat.

But Im setting myself as example to my kids. They don't drink soda that much. I'm teaching them the right diet.

    Bro.,- tama ka naman.

When traveling,- be ready to walk for hours.... Our family does that all the time, when we go out of town/country.....

That is why Spring or Fall [in other countries] are the best times of the year to travel,- cool weather - comfortable to walk and enjoy the scenery [green leaves, flowers or multicolored leaves] and the historical landmarks....

Here in the Philippines,- no choice, summer (under the sun),- mahirap namang maglakad kung umuulan...
