The wife called in sick (with the flu) to her work. So, she's here at home watching the Olympics (rebroadcast). She doesn't look sick to me.

the more waterproof the shoes, the hotter they get if they don't get wet with (rain) water.

and why is it, that those nice-looking wellington boots (botas!) always are designed for women? you know... butterflies and flowers.
why do our (men's) models always look like the magnolia diary products plant model (white), or the basurero (black) model?

^ Unless i'm wading through sewage, i prefer wearing the rubber molded shoes(Duratec, Easysoft/WB). i keep one pair at home, one pair at the office(along with a change of clothes). Not the most comfortable shoes i've worn though.

If it's raining really hard, my shins and thighs get soaked anyway, and the rain water drains down to my feet...so basa pa rin. But i prefer those shoes over slippers as protection from debris/infection.

I don't quite get why majority of office workers wear flip flops when they're outside the office. Flip flops have very poor traction on wet surfaces, they leave the feet exposed to dirt and injury, and it looks really tacky.

they're easy to clean.. they're easy to bring along.. they're probably what was on sale at the bangketa, when this darn flood met him!
and if it floats away, it's cheap to buy another.

I mean rain or shine. And quite a few people I know have already had foot injuries (nasugatan, nadulas, naapakan) that could have been prevented had they been wearing shoes.

Wala lang. I guess I'm not the kind who likes wearing slippers in public. Siguro dahil panay kalyo ako, haha.

sir, not everyone can buy a pair of the cheapest tsinelas the way we buy soft drinks or marlboro. much less, choose what model footwear to buy.

also, kung hindi pinapagbawal ng bossing...

and to those who can... siguro dahil malamig sa paa.. at kapag madumihan, madali i-service. at kapag mabasa, madali matuyo.

She said she accumulated enough sick leave and needed to use some. I wish I could do that.....

Actually, I can if I want to except I get a guilty conscience. No such problem with her.

psyche yourself, madam... "in this room, i am the authority!" but... be sure to do your homework first, so that you DO are the authority.

When it's raining, I wear slippers from the parking lot to the office -- parts of our open parking area gets flooded around 1-2 inches and sometimes you have no choice. I don't want to ruin my shoes, so slippers
