Sayang. I should have made a little fortune with our citrus farm in Nueva Viscaya but the caretaker's wife died and napabayaan niya yung farm. He once told me "Makakabili ka ng dmax", perhaps in the future maayos ko ito

But they're siblings??
Glad to know you're a book fan too. Just finished ADWD last week actually. Can't imagine how the series and book will tie up, even if just the main plotlines. Unless we assume that all that was omitted from the series are ultimately inconsequential.
The theories that bore fruit were the all too obvious ones. I'm more concerned that there were too many empty theories - Waif/Arya as one, Cleganebowl, Umber/Karstark long con, etc.

There have been very few nude scenes since season 4. The only people I know who think GoT is nothing but softcore are those who don't actually watch.
But even in season 1-3, you would never think the show was all about ***. Season 1 and 2 were very faithful to the books, with all the intricate plot lines. Season 3 had by far the most disturbing penultimate episode and the build-up was very good.
The **** actress you're referring to is Sibel Kekilli. Yes she has nude scenes (she was a whore in the show) but her character was way, way more than just the ***. [emoji4]

They've been off-book since season five, but GRRM still seems to be calling the shots. At least some of them anyway. The Hodor origin story/mindf*ck of a timeloop came from him, but isn't or isn't yet in the books. I wonder how much advance info the showrunners were given about certain characters, for them to foreshadow certain things seasons before they happen.
I remember I was bothered last season that they didn't show the full prophecy as it was said in the books to the young Cersei. The last line is very, very important. Maybe they omitted it so they can tweak the plot? Or a late reveal.
I think the current deviations of the series from the books indicates that those plot lines that were not followed aren't as important in the grand story arc.
For example, having Varys and Tyrion call the shots in Meereen instead of Barristan (why'd they have to kill him?!) probably means that Barristan is not as important in Dany's conquest, or that his role does not specifically have to be tied to his character (i.e. someone else can be hand of the queen as is the case in the series).
Am excited about the Valonqar part of the prophecy. Occam's razor suggests its Tyrion, but it'll be more satisfying if it's Jaime.

I wish my coworker comes back soon from vacationing. I'm getting tired of Night Shift. I was supposed to go back to Day Shift at the beginning of June.
My own vacation is coming soon.
The way the series is going, I'm not surprised GoT will have shortened 7th and 8th seasons. I guess it's due mainly to lack of material GRR Martin is putting out. I mean, the release of his novel in the Song of Fire and Ice series is delayed (writer's block maybe?). Plus, I guess the production cost is way more expensive now since most of the actors playing major characters got hefty raises.
They eliminated a lot of minor characters though -- frey, umber, rikon, ramsay, roose, margaery, tommen, high sparrow, hodor(poor hodor).
Word is that the main actors will be getting $500k/episode.
Rhaegar is Danerys' brother...so Jon Snow is her nephew.

More than budget constraints, I think the shortened seasons (13 episodes for 2 seasons) are a consequence of D&D's decision not to include several story arcs from AFFC and ADWD.
We don't have Quentin Martell, Aegon Targaryen, the Brotherhood Without Banners, Lady Stoneheart and Ariane Martell, to name a few. From a TV producer's point of view, it makes sense because you don't need to be introducing new characters too near the finish line. For example, it would be weird to have Stoneheart suddenly show up in season 7 when she should've appeared in season 4.
GRRM has taken a very, very long time for WoW. We're now going on 5 years. But remember, even AFFC/ADWD took really long - and if you consider that AFFC and ADWD are actually just 2 parts of one book that was too long (1.8k pages was impossible to bind), then you're looking at 11 years between books.
But in true ASOIAF fashion, most of these characters you've mentioned were really headed for the chopping block anyway. For example, Kristian Nairn has shared in an interview that Hodor was meant to die that way right from the start. In fact, part of GoT/ASOIAF's charm lies in the uncertainty that your favorite character could be killed off a few episodes/chapters down the road.
Yes, Rhaegar is Dany's brother, making Jon her neice, and if the theorists are correct, Tyrion her half brother. From the books, the R+L=J theory already had traction as early as the first book, with Ned's reluctance to discuss Jon's history to Cat despite his openness with practically everything else.
I'm interested to know how the show will substitute Aegon Targaryen, who's being set up to be Dany's husband once she lands in Westeros. If you recall, Aegon/Young Griff is already in the Stormlands and has conquered several castles as part of his goal to show Dany that he's a worthy consort. They could shift the entire story and make Jon her eventual husband, or perhaps GRRM never intended the Aegon-Dany match to bear fruit so it doesn't play a significant part in the grand story arc.

Actually, i didn't get why Ned wouldn't tell Catelyn about the secret...but then again, if Catelyn didn't have that hatred for Jon, that would've made fans suspicious right at the first episode ^_^
Lol! Im not following any of this. I should start watching GOT. Kaso P1.5K per season and dvd? Eh wala din akong dvd player. *toink*
