I don't know. I was hoping someone here has one.

When my wife visited the PH (Leyte) in 2014, she said she saw some people using a TV tuner with their smartphones.

If it's NTSC (US, Japan, PH), it should work.

PS:

I know this worked in the US. it worked when I stopped over in Japan. It worked in the PH when I gave it to my wife's nephew. Odds are, that Android TV tuner should work.

like shin dong pa of the 60s, who was said to do 100 (or was it 200?) shots every day for practice. his shooting % approached 100%.. when he shoots, it's a given, the two points..

Bro,- I assume it is digital, so not compatible. NA is using ATSC, while we adopted the Japan ISDB-T.

However,- looking at the description,- it says DVB-T / ISDB-T,- so should work, but there is no way for you to validate there...
(Maybe, if it doesn't work there,- then it should work here... ... $20 is only approx P1K,- so I guess if this checks,- puwede nang isugal... )

If so,- why is it being sold in the US?

If analog,- then we are using NTSC 3.58(MHz) - same as the US.

I am really not into broadcasting technology for years,- so any expert here,- correct me if I am inaccurate, please.

*jun : myphone and cherry mobile do have units with tv tuners. Afaik analog tuners lang to. Imho, it can be handy during emergencies(esp. Since phones only have FM, and FM stations rarely cover these things even when MM is submerged). My mom has one, medyo mahina reception indoors, and battery life sucks
