bro, if you can think it and will it, you can do it.

i can only speak for myself, but i have changed careers three or four times in my life, and i have never looked back since then. and i will, again, sooner or later.

*CVT, it may be worth the look if you're tired of the comfort zone. The wifey is also stable with her job and you have a good asset base plus Savings so if a career change excites you, why not?

So long as you're using a pure wax and not the abrasive compounds, that should be okay.

But really, these lucky kids have some (if not all) of the financial milestones in their 20s ticked off their list already:

    - Most get a car as early as college
    - Parents will usually pay for their wedding
    - Some parents give condos or lots or even houses as gifts
    - Many entrepreneurial parents give their kids capital to run their own businesses.

All these things take years of toiling and millions worth of savings for the ordinary Juan to achieve. It's like getting a decade worth of time because you can enjoy life's pleasures (i.e traveling the world, buying fancy toys, etc) at an earlier age since you have the basics covered already.

Even for those who aren't given any of the aforementioned gifts explicitly, the fact that you have a safety net in the form of parents who will definitely bail you out if you hit rock bottom really helps in boosting your confidence to take risks such as entrepreneurship, or allows you to coast through your career for a while without fearing that your bills will pile up and you'll go hungry, or in letting you pursue a passion even if it doesn't pay well.

    #blessed indeed, these people are.

There will always be bigger fish in the pond. Back in AHS, first day of our first year, one thing that our teacher said is "life is unfair"... We just have to deal the cards accorded to us by the game of life. Don't be fooled too by what you see with the lives of others; everyone has their own cross to carry.

I was born relatively privileged but it was thought to us early on that the comforts, education and chances we are given is our responsibility to pass on to the next generation. I'd be a hypocrite if I claimed that all I have is a result of my own doing but: even if there are a bunch of cars I can borrow, or a home to return to should I need, few is more satisfying as going home to small abode you call your owm (even if use to live in a nice house in a middle class village - it's just different when it's not really yours), driving the regular Juan car you paid for, visiting the piece of land you are amortizing, and seeing the friends and achievements of your kids through an education you and your better half are paying for.

I like technical articles such as this. Unfortunately, show that to the average netizen and they'll get lost after 3 paragraphs. People prefer blanket statements, flowery false promises, and they all still think that there's a messianic solution that can be implemented by a finger snap by a dictatorial leader.

Moving on though, the main point of the article is that supply simply can't keep up with demand, and the most feasible way to go is to curb demand. Yet, I'm sure many here will vehemently reject the idea of their private cars taken away from them, having them forced to take public transpo.

Their arguments are valid - the MRT is horrible, the buses are undisciplined, the government is slow in finding solutions. But really, all these simply reflect one thing - "Fix everything else you can first, before you bother me out of my comfort zone".

All of us are part of the problem. All of us driving cars that ferry 1 or 2 people on average, yet have the gall to call out buses that carry 50 people on board for only 3x more road space. People who have 1:1 ratios of cars to pick up their kids from school (Katipunan and Ortigas Ave. cry out in pain every afternoon as people refuse the slight inconvenience of a school bus service).

It boils down to two things really - either we play our part in mitigating the oversupply of cars on the road, or we stop the endless complaining and accept that we're part of the problem.

I definitely agree that your point - we all have our own race to run.

Unfortunately, our society loves to compare, to keep up with the joneses. Media doesn't help either, stuffing materialism down our throats every single chance they can.

Exactly. I have a low paying job but having a good and supportive boss and the convenience of working close to home is keeping me from leaving. As for now I am able to manage with my salary. And the opportunity that my boss is working on for me is supposed to increase my marketability in 3 yrs or so. Kaya tiis tiis at tipid tipid muna.

Why would anyone wear the same socks for one week and why would it smell like vinegar? I know smelly shoes, but smelly socks?

There's this online company that can legally let you buy a lottery ticket in the U.S. since they actually have an actual person buy the ticket at a convenience store. Forgot the name of that online site though. Hehehe.

Have been searching for it since this morning. It was in an article that was shown on Flipboard 2-3 weeks ago. In the article, some Middle East guy was able to claim his Lotto prize.
