This is weird. Toyota called and said my LC 200 has arrived. But . And this is a big BUT. The color I want (dark gray) is not available so they gave me the closest color (silver). I asked when will dark gray be available. They said the demand is so high for the lc 200 and that color is so rare that the earliest is 2nd half next year. BS! Anyway fine I will take silver and then just foil it or repaint it. And then they tell me, sir we can't release the car yet cause it has to be registered. That sounded reasonable to me so I said when will it be registered. They said with the LTO as busy as it is and with the holidays etx most likely next year pa. Grrrrrrrr.


So I don't know how to feel. Its like its there but it isn't . And its not what I initially thought it would be. Its not a bait and switch as I'm still getting the premium model. But color is kinda important. This experience has turned out to be an exercise in patience and understanding and compromise.

We're on the same boat with our Hilux purchase. We're playing the waiting game on the registration as well so I expect delivery early January even if the unit is just there at the stockyard. I'm just waiting it out since i already expected delivery to go over the year end once December sets in given all the distractions. At least on paper your car will be a 2016 model already just as well.

Bro.,- actually, I had my unit insured even without the proper LTO registration.

I think this [insurance] document is the basis, IIRC from the SA explanation, for the 7-day use of the vehicle after the release. That is why I was bringing this document from T0.

But then again,- that's their company policy.

Traffic in our area (Sta Rosa- Tagaytay road) is bound to get worse by the day with S&R fully operational plus Solenad mall almost 60% filled. At this point in time traffic it's already getting heavy by the day specially when the buses and trucks get's on the road from the industrial park. I can feel christmas & new year days will be a nightmare n this stretch as metro manilans go up Tagaytay with some stopping by the new mall.

It's gonna be another Alabang-Zapote road.

True! Used to be going up to tagaytay was a relaxing drive. Today, tangina! Kayo na lang pumunta ng tagaytay. Traffic on the way up the traffic In downtown.

That Ayala mall in Tagaytay added heaps to the already bad traffic situation. My boss resides near the area and swears to minimize going out of their house during weekends.

That will be really a big help if your just headed to the vicinity of the mall. Enter / Exit using the Mamplasan gate along SLEX to make use of the sticker. Then you can go straight ahead passing by Verdana and the back side of the industrial park then further down will be La Salle & Don Bosco up until the stop light crossing going to Nuvali. By this route, you practically just cross over the Sta Rosa- Tagaytay road right on the stop light instead of making use of that road if existing Sta Rosa at SLEX.

Yes sir it is. It's the same SLEX exit as Brent / LIIP and the guards will let you in anytime of the day as long as your sticker is up to date. Sometimes i use that road 2am, 3am, 4am no hassle.

True. Dati pag trip mag Tagaytay anytime during the day or after work, sige lang. Now, no way! When we go up with the family we bring all what we need as we avoid having to drive out to the ridge.
