The soccer fields of UST are still there. Lots of fun. Great HS memories.

Gee. What happened here? There used to be nothing here but big houses and mansions. Now, they've been replaced by lower-cost housing units. I guess things changed when the place switched from exclusively residential to being a commercial part of the city.
I knew we should have moved to Philamlife Village instead. I always liked that place more. ;)

Nice. I realized not all places in MM is available in streerview though.
Hans Optical? Hans Vet?
There's only one Hans family I know. They (the dad) were Dutch and they were our neighbors back then. Small world. I remember thinking...... For a Dutch family, they sure don't like futbol. He (the son) needed to get out more. He was getting a little chubby.Of course, that was back then. Being in a health field, I'm sure he's in good shape now.

I've been on Google Maps too long. Time to quit.
I used to ride my 10-speed from RFC to the perimeter fence of the airport. It didn't seem that far. Back then, a lot of the area in between were grass or fields. Now, they're thoroughly urban jungle.
Unlike my parents who knew the Hans folks well (probably from the homeowners association), I didn't. The Hans kids appeared to stay home (inside the property) most of the time while me? I stayed outdoors and away from home most of the time. I loved travel and that holds true to this day.
I did wave to them whenever I passed by and they were at their porch.
To be honest, I think we were simply shy of each other.
Thinking of our dear Dentist now,- he is really a great person bro. Could have made it real big time (UPM graduate), like his other classmates- but chose to serve the community through cost-effective dental solutions/approaches. They own that property in the picture plus a lot more here in LPC.
We occasionally bump into each other (with his wife and kids) here in Robinsons LPC,- in the moviehouse....
IIRC,- you are an Andrean, right? We are going to celebrate our Centennial in a couple of years,- and it will be a grand one....
If you were indeed one,- then "Botong" should be endearing to you. He is now back in Belgium (we gave him a huge despedida), enjoying his retirement days... So, if you are in that area, you can give him a call and he will find time to meet you, like what he did with a number of our fellow alumni from all over the world....

Procrastinating over some personal hobby that needs some more dedicated time
I was an Andrean, but only during my freshman year. My mom said I needed an attitude change which is why we moved to the PH in the first place. I was pretty feisty while at St. Andrews and got into a number of fights, not to mention I played hookey several times. He He.
I ended up having to relocate to another HS school that has a more secular and less religious feel. I adjusted to PH life on my second year of stay in the PH which coincided with me getting into sports and the Boy Scouts. With those activities, I started making more friends who helped keep me out of trouble.
As for the Hans kids..... I kinda wished we got more acquainted. My mom certainly encouraged me to try to be friends with them. Kinda hard when they didn't play outside that much.
My sister is a doctor there (UP graduate as well) who has her own family practice somewhere. Perhaps she's acquainted better with the Hans. But, not while I was there. She too stayed at home all the time when there are no classes.

Bro.,- not with the Guidance Counselor, ha?!....
I remember her as Ms. Bocalan, right?... Well, most have *deep* fantasies on her.
Also, the Librarian and the Social Studies teacher....
Or don't tell me with the Badingz, who comprised 20%-25% of the student population, then...
I surmised that some of my batchmates know you... I'll try to float "Jun Aka Pekto" in our next meet-up..... We had one last Friday, with a Balikbayan batchmate.
If there was one standout batchmate of mine,- then it was the black guy named Michael McCain (with kinky hair) from Cavite.....
