I see Rosal Street being blocked off. I guess Mayor Aguilar bought all the lots along both sides of the street. Probably why the alley to Petron was blocked off. His wife is a teacher. So, that Mulberry School must be one of her businesses. I passed his property on the way to the bus stop during my daily commutes to Manila. I was long gone before he was first elected mayor. But, I wasn't surprised when he became one.

If only Filipinos are as enthusiastic to talk about societal isuess as they tweet about Aldub or any loveteam, malaki siguro ang iaangat ng Pilipinas. Isa pa, baka nakakulong na si Binay ngayon at wala na sa ospital si Napoles.

    Yup bro. It was blocked.

And the narrow road beside Petron was long gone. That was our way to PhilAmLife Village...

Yup. What a shame. It was convenient for those of us who had to commute. The general rule is the farther upstream you are, the better chance of flagging down a less-crowded ride. I don't know if you can still recall it. But, there used to be just one or two mini-buses that went all the way to the Manila City Hall. At Petron, both buses reach the point where the last seats are taken. By the time they reached RFC (a few hundred meters downstream), they were standing room only and packed like sardines.

I didn't mind commuting. It was the only way I got to see pretty coeds. I liked flirting around with the PWU and Lyceum girls; pay their fares, even. He He. In fact, I know a couple of them who are now here in the US (both living in CA).

    Edit:

I could have insisted I be driven to Mapua. But, I wasn't one to live a sheltered life. I liked mingling with the local crowd.

First time for me to reach Rodriguez/Montalban Rizal passing through Payatas. I have never seen so many dump trucks in my life and sacks of what looks like garbage being piled up inside warehouses.

    You're so much luckier bro...

University days, I have barely enough money for the commute and the meal.... Nothing more.... Have to save save save for the books and other school supplies as I cannot ask for more dough..... Those were the days....

Then pag balik ko after I have the remote's battey replaced. May 2 guard sa likod ng Vios ko at some mall customers talking. Ayun pala di din nila mabuksan mga sasakyan nila. I tried to unlock my car using my key then the alarm turned on, luckily for TVSS na natigil kapag inistart. I advice the same thing sa mga naka Toyota sa parking na di ma open cars nila. Yung naka Montero ang kawawa dahil di nila ma i start dahil yata sa immobilizer. I don't know what realy the cause is but it's kinda weird and scary.
Any news on what caused this? It couldn't have been a localized EMP or even the alarms wouldn't have gone off.

I was lucky to have parents who were forward-thinking. Well, mostly my mom, actually. My mom made sure I had enough to ensure I have a social life. She put a great deal of importance in me associating with other students. That included visiting friends at their dorms/homes or bringing them at our home, watching movies or eating out, even the occasional getting drunk with my male friends.

It's not like all of the girls I flirted with were at the same bus. I wouldn't want to be seen with one or the other if they were all there. That would be terrible. He He. Although we were mostly friends, you never know how women will react to other women.

Anyway, they returned the favor at some point by paying for my fare too. What was important was me honing my social skills with women which came in handy with my future wife.

My first memories of living in the PH wasn't LPC. It was here at Binakayan where my mom had her old house which is still owned by a cousin. It was here where I used to play with the squatter kids. It was them who taught me how to find the spiders for spider-fighting.

School? Library? Church? Home? That sucks. Me? By the time I was 16 (still at HS), I already commuted on my own to Bulacan, Nasugbu, the lake shore of Taal lake, etc. I even drank beer and ate peanuts with a bunch of toughs at provincial Dasmarinas, one night. He He I had to make sure I didn't miss the last jeepney headed back to Zapote.

I wasn't one to stay at home. Of course, my parents never knew about my travels above.

If I were to choose I'll choose Montero. 7 Seats, higher ground clearance and it's a diesel SUV. Kung makakaintay pa better yet wait for the upcoming model.

Thanks for the response. Have any idea when the all-new Montero be released?
