I'd say "could have been"....

We attended the same university. She's probably the "most special" among my lady friends....

Not many 'common friends'. Probably a few. Just the two of us most of those times.

I felt/probably knew she had it for me,- but I had my eyes on another lady at that time.

I've been to her general area in NA many times, but never lifted a finger to look for her.

Why not just get a point and shoot with really long focal lengths? Saves you the hassle of a dSLR's bulk, not to mention it costs much less.

Getting an interchangeable lens camera but only using one lens exclusively kinda defeats the purpose.
