just looking at that bulb,
armchair cogitating,
i figure, rotating the LED element 90 degrees, may be the solution to the glare issues arising from halogen-to-LED conversions...

tried it on an H4 LED. the glare was lessened and there was a better cut off i think but the light is not as focused if hi beam is turned on

From previous experience with my Kawasaki Ninja 250SL, wala naman akong nakasalubong who has flashed me.
Just looking at the beam pattern, di rin naman talaga siya sabog. Well defined na rin taking LED constraints.

looking at the patterns,
it would seem that the peripheral scatter of the LED ("the glare") is significantly brighter than the halogen's...
the LED reflector does not appear to do a good-enough job of containing the scatter.

I saw on YouTube sa nagpakabit ng h4 sa kotse, itututok nila yung ilaw sa pader with the old halogen bulb, then they will mark the edges of the light with masking tape. Tapos lagay yung led light, then they try to match the edges of the masking tape.

years ago, some car owners would install triangles of opaque tape on their headlights, to help control the beam of light.
it seems, they installed RHD-designed headlight assemblies onto their LHD cars...

Ganyan ginawa ko nung nagpalit ako ng bulb. Minarkahan ko lang sa pader bago ako nagpalit. Mas binabaan ko pa nga yung tutok ng bago kasi pag pinantay ko sa dati, may glare pa eh.

in my opinion,
when replacing halogens with LEDs, without modifying the reflector,
the overall throw of the beam may be similar.
but the side scatter, formerly live-able using halogens, is now much more intense with the LEDs.
that is probably what causes the blinding glare in "in-adequate conversions" : the side scatter is not tamed enough.
