Well, if we look at their sales pitches, they say it's almost a 1:1 correspondence with the halogen filaments.
From previous experience with my Kawasaki Ninja 250SL, wala naman akong nakasalubong who has flashed me.
Just looking at the beam pattern, di rin naman talaga siya sabog. Well defined na rin taking LED constraints.

when replacing halogens with LEDs, without modifying the reflector,
the overall throw of the beam may be similar.
but the side scatter, formerly live-able using halogens, is now much more intense with the LEDs.
that is probably what causes the blinding glare in "in-adequate conversions" : the side scatter is not tamed enough.
