    What’s the benefit of a trackpad screen?

    The Macbook also has a display touchbar and I’ve never been a fan. I wonder if the display trackpad is gimmicky also or if it truly helps in productivity.

    I didnt even realize it was part of the laptop. Its basically a grafted on 6.5 inch phone screen.

    If you have an external mouse...it has its uses. I use it for youtube mostly. It has software that links to your smartphone notifications / screen as well but i havent tried it.


    But yeah more gimmicky than productive.

    I do like the form factor and ability to play some games. Tried skyrim with all the mods. About 30 fps on full HD res with mid settings.

    Addendum:

    If you have a 2nd monitor this is exactly what it feels like . You can drag and drop open windows and apps into it. So it can be productive if you use 2 monitors and can live with a mini version of 1.
