    what if mcarthur did not returned? maliliberate pa rin naman ng mga americans ang pilipinas eh. syempre, hindi naman pababayaan ng us ang kanilang colony

    Fore sure no Leyte Landing as we know it. So no memorial site at Palo.

    The Americans were set to invade Formosa leapfrogging the Philippines but it was McArthur who insists on it. And for this act, Filipinos has reverence for the man.

    The Philippines would still be liberated. But history books would have been rewritten as the greatest naval warfare in modern history- the Battle of Leyte Gulf--would not have occurred.
