i have noticed, that floods follow a big concrete project (e.g., MRT, tall buildings beside roads).
my guess is, during the construction, water containing minute, sand-like fragments of still-uncured cement, drain into the drainage pipes. when these cement fragments cure (harden), they permanently clog up the drainage pipes.

^ yeah have the same theory sir. minsan ung binungkal na lupa naman. Ung storm drain malapit sa amin puro buhangin/lupa na, almost at road level. They should force these developers to clean up after themselves.

Condo building constructions all over the metro also contribute to these clogged drainage pipes. What a mess.

Two hours from Pina-Santol to Scout area in Kamuning this morning. As usual, flood in Araneta exacerbated the traffic situation. MPTB personnel was nowhere to be seen. Baranggay (both QC and Manila) personnel, also MIA. And all those parking on the street overnight -- you wish their cars spontaneously exploded or something -- they really make a bad situation worse.

Basta kakaiba.

what makes it worse for them is di sila sanay sa init

tayo we're used to 38 or 40 degree C dry seasons

sila 25 C palang mainit na para sa kanila

40 C is deadly to them
