if they were designer-type, mas marami siguro ang gagamit.

The Weather Channel show, Strangest Weather on Earth, featured snow in Tucson back in the winter of 2012-2013. They said it was extremely rare. It's not that unusual at all. It happens every other year.

Tropical storm LionRock has entered PAR; it's currently a Cat 3, packing winds up to 185kph.

Good news is they expect it to remain stationary for the next few days, then will move towards Sea of Japan away from PH.

Bad news is, it may enhance monsoon rains over PH

Just to add, Lionrock(Typhoon Dindo) is expected to remain at the NorthEastern-most part of PAR for 3-4 days -- it's expected to enhance the monsoons over PH, but it's not expected to be as bad as when Carina hit.

PAGASA also expects a weak La Nina to start late September/early October

    to avoid innuendoes.
replacing a name to avoid innuendoes is old hat.

    Yup, strange weather, indeed...

I remember, we were in Austin for a couple of weeks for some equipment training.... Bigla na lang nag-snow.... At medyo malakas pa....

Hayun, maraming aksidente sa kalye.... Marami ring nadulas sa daan,- para kasing carefree sila...(Kami,- ingat na ingat...)

Sabi ng mga taga-roon,- bihirang-bihira nga raw ang snow sa kanila....

Alternating between sunny and stormy here in Pasay. Is that you Dindo? ^_^

Thankfully they expect it to veer away from PH. It's already packing winds up to 195kph and it's still out at sea -- it will spend 4 days almost stationary while sucking up all that water. Good luck na lang sa Japan

No chance it can veer to "certain man-made islands" on the West Philippine Sea?

It's been a week since we saw rain and 100+ deg F weather. I hope it's cooling down although it's only August.
