    China girds for Typhoon Rammasun | Inquirer News

    Rammasun was due to hit land Friday afternoon on Hainan Island off China’s southern coast and Guangdong province on the mainland with winds of up to 180 kph (112 mph), the official Xinhua News Agency said. It said the typhoon might become the strongest in 40 years to hit Hainan, which draws millions of tourists every year.

    Thankfully, no storm damage sa bahay. Power was restored yesterday only. Was beginning to get claustrophobic living in my wife's condo unit. I have to fix my bamboo patch in our yard, the wind tore it to shreds.

    Good thing this coming storm again is not hitting land.

    Monsoon induced rains pounding now...

    And another one is on the way...to be named Inday.



    MANILA – State weather bureau PAGASA on Tuesday said it is monitoring a new potential cyclone outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

    PAGASA weather forecaster Jori Loiz said a low pressure area (LPA) that was still outside the PAR was spotted east of Bicol Region.

    Loiz said the LPA is expected to enter PAR this week, and its likelihood of developing into a full-fledged cyclone is high. In case it intensifies into a cyclone within PAR, it will be locally named "Inday."

    kanina mga 7:30AM pag alis ko ng Paranaque umaaraw pa pag dating ng Makati after about 20 mins. lakas ng ulan

    Niiiice. There's Doppler radar there now. Once the kids are grown up and the wife decides to continue the family business there. I might try to find work as a weatherman there....if we move there. They can station me at Batanes.
