We never know who these people are.

December 15th, 2006 12:01 AM #35My mom was also held up in a taxi around 1990something. Nothing happened naman because she cooperated and good thing they didnt get much because my mom transfers only 10k to the card that she brings when she goes out. This happened in cubao area naman. Although she did get hit in the head by the gun but no major injuries. They also gave her 100bucks to get home.
Because of this, my mom doesnt ride the taxi anymore.

Even in countries like India which has been a bigger beneficiary of the BPO boom, criminality is still rampant. As long as we have a very reactive and inefficient law and order system, an unregulated and chaotic transportation network and a growing population of poorly educated and desperate slum dwellers, incidents like this will always occur.

i heard on the radio (Magic 89.9) and you can verify with them that if you punch in the reverse of your PIN during a hold up the police will be alerted...now how quickly they arrive is another issue. but at least they are alerted. and at the same time the money will be disbursed not to raise suspicions daw. i havent tried and heard it on the radio so it should be interesting to note.

Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
