A violent taxi hold-up!

Hold-ups, snatching, and other similar forms of lawlessness are part of living in Metro Manila.

Perpetrators resort to these actions because of poverty and/or unemployment.

The efforts of the police to stop the lawlessness are futile.

Even if they are caught and eventually eliminated, another bunch of holduppers/snatchers would evolve unless the root cause of the problem is solved.

Meantime, be extra careful.

If I take a taxi, I made it sure that all the doors were locked. But, as experienced by the victim, this is ineffective if the driver is in cahoots.
