Just heard na di naman siya bumabagsak, at mataas naman daw grades nya. My family apparently knows them way back when they are still renting a stall dun sa building sa amin.

I personally think student suicides are rarely grade related AFAIK. i don't know the real stats or studies though...

Sa dami namin na ugok ugok at " basta pumasa ka anak, okay na..." nung GS, HS at college, ni isa walang nagpakamatay or nabaliw. Mas naging close at masaya pa kaming mga obobs dahil sama-sama kami sa remedial, summer class at tutorials. I think kids who are constantly rushing to make the grade generally learn how to deal with what life throws at them an accept the occasional failure too. If ever mababa grades ng suicidal student, it's because may personal problems siya. In contrast, yung mga perfectionist, the honor students who thrive on getting straight A go effing crazy and cry when they get a B+ (or A-) or whatever... yan ang mas suicial. Hindi naman lahat pero there are those types.
