i said i dont wanna take sides
i just wanna see the debt ceiling raised
anyone who doesnt live in a cave should be worried
the foundation of the current global financial system is built on the US government's creditworthiness
US treasury securities are the safest financial assets in the world and everything else is built upon that
if the USG defaults on only 1 payment it will shake the foundation of the global financial systemLast edited by uls; October 10th, 2013 at 05:09 PM.

Republicans are not saying to shut down, just lessen the implementation. But that's a good idea in a political stand point to let Obamacare pass they let people see what it can do to the economy. It's just me that sees this in the republicans side.
They did pass clean bills... But outright rejected by Democrats.
In my mind, if it's going to strain the economy, even its a law... There is not much hurt if they let people sign waivers that don't need Obamacare care. The white house can't even put out numbers on who signed up. In an example, (I think it was Maryland but I can be wrong) weekly numbers should be in the thousands but only 300+ did. A waiver isn't that bad in my mind.

why do you keep saying Republicans want to "let Obamacare pass"? Obamacare is already passed. it's a law na nga. Republicans want to stop Obamacare. First they want to cut funding to Obamacare. na-reject. then they want Obamacare postponed for 1 year. na-reject
They did pass clean bills... But outright rejected by Democrats.
they keep attaching Obamacare to the budget bill ngaLast edited by uls; October 10th, 2013 at 05:20 PM.

At first they want to delay implementation but that did not work so they said put out waivers to lessen the impact on the economy. Democrats want full implementation period. No talks no nothing unless Obama care is funded.
They passed bills to fund other sectors of government but democrats rejected unless republicans cave in to full implementation.

But the Democrats are stopping it to be funded. No Obama care no talks. That's their stand point.
Interesting thread—really important to consider the broader impact of the National ID Law beyond...
