We have electricity at my wife's house in Q.C.... pero natabunan kami ng mga adik!

was able to travel to cabuyao and manila after the storm. I was shocked to see on what the typhoon left us. Trees that use to line the stretch of SLEX was reduced to firewood. ang daming naputol na puno or uprooted trees. After the storm parang tornado ang dumaan. I am from batangas city and i can say that we are still lucky because we are not hardly hit by the typhoon considering we are under signal no. 3.

actually, mas lumalakas ang wind sa mga cities like metro manila dahil nagkakaroon ng tunnel effect because of the buildings.

Ngayon lang ako nakapag online as well as most of the internet shops around here. Pati landline sira for a few days, bagal naman ng Globe- kainis. Upto now walang cable missed alot lately.
Hey true story. I was driving around Makati BD in the thick of the storm that morning doing my business while dodging flying huge parts of trees, rolling street signs, and some alien objets hitting each other midair. It's like being part of a Hollywood action film where the actor's scared sh*t trying to survive. I've been through a few hailstorm but this was just sick! My very first typhoon level 3? I left HSBC inside Enterprise Tower bec it was closed when the car behind me got almost hit by falling debris, so I drove away from it as fast as I could. Legazpi street's almost impassable at that time but I trailed behind an Expedition (ang galing) that bulldozed through the pile and had finally reached a dim-lighted SM. Candles were out of stock and most eftposts' off-line so the whole mall was closing amidst poor, stranded employees and shoppers. Glorietta's roof panels were rattling like hell like it's inside a a vacuum while the Oakwood side's flooded. Not a good refuge so once again I braved the storm but had to cut through many one-ways and no entry roads since exits were mostly blocked by either traffic or befallen trees. Found myself stuck in a traffic in the middle of a flooded Ayala for an hour while the storm furiously battered my rear windshield. I felt my Helios being nudged again and again and I was glad that the car's aerodynamically designed to handle this. I felt pity for taller and narrower vehicles because it felt like being in a huge dishwasher. Got out of the traffic and went to Rufino Tower to pick up someone. Darn, the building's swaying mad (kudos to the engineers for wind resistance). Darnit again Export lane, Dela Rosa, Pasong T & Amorsolo's flooded even a Pajero got stalled in the middle. Did some counter-flows and found myself in Buendia dodging a pile of ruble in the middle of the road caused by a collapsed wall off a side of a building in the corner of Ayala. Stuck again in traffic along Buendia because a huge bus got stalled along Chino Roces plus it was all man for himself out there. Finally reached home when the car overheated and there I found a pool of water inside the house with no electricity and phone and food in the fridge. I realized that I forgot to do my grocery and that I hadn't taken a bite yet for the past 9 hours. All in all, it was swell because I survived the storm thank God

heto kasi problem sa pacita. taken last thursday around 5pm, after the typhoon passed. aside from the pic, meron pa isang poste ng meralco na nag-break halfway up. nakakatakot daanan parang bibigay na pareho.

    Another storm coming

Coming on the heels of typhoon "Milenyo," tropical depression "Neneng" has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced yesterday.

"Neneng" is expected to be in the vicinity of Central Luzon, approximately at 550 kms east of the area, by Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier, PAGASA weather branch chief Nathaniel Cruz warned that "Neneng" was on track to hit Central Luzon "including Metro Manila."

In a bulletin issued yesterday, the weather bureau located "Neneng" at 1,020 kms east of the Bicol region, packing winds of 55 kph near the center and moving west-northwest at a speed of 11 kph.

PAGASA said no public storm warning signals had been raised as of yesterday as the weather disturbance is "not expected to directly affect any part of the country in the next 24 hours."

"However, a surge of strong winds is expected over Bicol region, Visayas and Mindanao starting today," the weather bureau said.

According to the Department of Science and Technology (DoST) service institute, mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over the Bicol region, Visayas and Mindanao today due to the looming weather disturbance as well as the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the weather system currently affecting the Visayas and Mindanao.

The rest of the country, however, will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, "Neneng" is expected to move closer to the country, particularly in the Bicol region, this afternoon.

PAGASA said it is forecast to be at 750 kms east of the Bicol region by this afternoon and at 540 kms east-northeast of the area by tomorrow afternoon.
