student allowance?

naalala ko yang meal card and meal ticket. occassional lang akong mag meal ticket. ang masarap pa noon sa school ko (noon ewan ko lang ngayon), unlimited rice sa isang meal. may romorondang may dalang container ng hot rice. sutsutan mo lang.

Wow laki na pala ng Student allowance ngayon... Mataas pa sa minimum wage.. Nung ako P50 to P80 per day HS to Collage na yun..

I can't remember my college allowance anymore but it must be more or less P100. I only remember my gas allowance was P300 per WEEK. Those where the days! Late 90s gas was less than P20/litre ata.

Php 30 from Grades 1-3
Php 50 from Grade 4-5
Php 100 from Grade 6 to HS 1
Php 120 HS 2
Php 150 HS 3 and 4 (the jump was because I "claimed" to have been affected by the 2% EVAT increase

)

College was pretty much 8,400php of regular allowance monthly and 10,000php of special allowance that I need to justify for every expense. As for the special, usually gas allowance was permitted. Far away trips aren't. Clothes... debatable. No parties, no drinks, no dates, no Amazon purchases.. amp. So I usually simply spend it on grocery and books.

so the parties, drinks,dates and amazon purchases you deduct from the regular allowance.

I had a conversation with my good friend back in college on how we could afford to go out a lot with very little money/allowance. I really don't know. hehehe.

It's just for the few and privileged. Kaya pag graduate at nagwork, they realize yung baon nila is better then their starting salary.

What would be the right amount for college student these days inclusive of public transpo and daily expense sa school for lunch and merienda? I wonder if there is logic or truth na masmataas ang baon ng lalaki than girls?
