at 6'4 and 185lbs, I dont think there is a need to gain weight [bulking phase].
so if I was you, I would start the cutting phase and continue with protein and creatine intake, and lots of water.
but if you must insist on bulking phase, protein intake is not recommended before bed time if you are bulking, specially whey. Whey is not recommended dahil it is a fast absorbing protein. If you really want to consume protein before bed time, drink the casein protein, the slow absorbing protein. But I must warn you with its taste tho.
Re: Steriods are they safe??
Roids are safe if you want:
Acne all over your back and face
Ulcers
Shrunken testicles
Randomly getting roid rage and picking fights with everyone.
+1 on working out religiously
ON Whey and AST Sports Science Creatine user here :hi:
edit: mods paki-edit na din ang title, typo yung Steroids. para madaling hanapin in the future, thanks.

like what the other tsikoteers said, you're still young para mag-steroids. at 4-5 months, it would be still early to see significant gains on your body. so stick with whey muna and bulk up using weights. keep at it...tiyaga lang yan.

kapatid, 1gram per body weight sa protein, bulking or cutting.
creatine, 5gram a day lang. I take mine 1hour before workout.
why 1 hour before working out?
When you take creatine in powder form - it is in your blood stream for about 1 - 1.5 hours. For muscle growth the creatine must be absorbed into the muscles. So, if you are working out and deplete your creatine supply in your muscles AND you have creatine available in the blood stream, your muscles can replenish their creatine supply from the creatine in your blood.
Here is our advice - take the powder about 1 hour before your workout. Here is our reasoning...
It can take about 1 hour for the creatine to be absorbed into the bloodstream - and from that point you have about 1.5 hours to use the creatine or lose it. So, let's say you workout at 10am - here is our logic. At 9am you take the creatine powder. By 10am the creatine is in the blood stream. Your muscles are probably mostly saturated with creatine from the supplement you took the day before. So, some of the creatine you took at 9am may be absorbed into the muscles - but the rest is still in the blood. At 10am you start working out and depleting the creatine in your muscles. Your muscles then replenish their creatine supply from the creatine in the blood stream. Your workout ends at 11am (you really should not workout more than 1 hour - but that is a topic for a different day). Remember, you took creatine at 9am - but it was not absorbed into the blood stream until 10am. This means it will stay there until 11:30am (1.5 hours). So, now you have another 1/2 hour where your muscles can replenish their creatine supply if depleted. In a way you are getting the best of all worlds - you have creatine available before, during and after your workout.
You will hear other theories - but that is what we have found to be most effective. Since creatine supplies us with energy when working out - it is important we have creatine available during our workout. Creatine as a recovery agent is much less clear, so taking it after a workout to help with recovery is not proven.

As others have said Steroids are not safe unless given by a doctor to treat a medical condition. If your trainer is the one giving it to you to use then you need a new trainer. You're young and still have a fast metabolism and as you age that will slow down and allow you to gain weight quicker. Just don't take the shortcut by doing steroids, it's not only a temporary gain but it will have side effects you will encounter in the future long after you have stopped taking it. Two pro athletes I know that has admitted to taking steroids died at a young age.

kapatid, you beat me to it! most trainers are capitalizing on their god given physique but mis-informed when it comes to proper training. :seeth:
si karding nga iyang nasa avatar, taken last week after eating 4 slices of pizza
jasprit, yung recommended protein intake kasama na dun ang other sources of protein. i.e. solid food
ON Whey has 24 grams per scoop. 6 scoops throughout the day will give you 144grams of the 185grams recommended for your weight. you can get the 41grams from solid food. of course, pwede din lesser ang powder protein if you can get protein from solid food.
and yes, what about your training? baka machines ginagamit mo kapatid, stick to free weights just as Chip suggested.
tulugan na, 12am na dito
