December 6th, 2006 08:54 PM #1am thinking of buying a socket Wrench this December
Been shopping around lately and saw Stanley, a set would be around P2500 to P3000
And the Taiwan Eagle Brand cost P1000.
Been checking it only at ACE Hardware.
any other brand you can suggest or any other Place i could shop around?

December 6th, 2006 09:56 PM #3Stanleys are pretty high end imho...
ok ba ung KYK, KCT or Buffalo? imho they look a heckuva lot more durable than the taiwan/china made variety

Pero bihira ka lang naman bibili ng socket set so yung medyo kilala (or at least hindi low end) na kunin mo. Saka kunin mo yung may case.

I'd suggest yung black finish, para di dumihin tingan, kahit magrasa, pwede mo agad balik sa lalagyan, saka mo na linisan. tama sila, don't get the hex version, yung 12 sided version kunin mo. a good socket wrench set is only as good as the rachet, da best dyan yung malaki yung head (although I've not owned one but I wish i had extra cash to buy a set hehehe) pag pro na yung ganun. for minor DIY work, yung mga china/taiwan brand are actually good enough. dun sa heavy duty mechanicals lang talga magpa-pay off yung mga orig stanleys. matibay talga bakal nun, di agad napupudpod.
