This holds true in courts, lawyers would always look at how big the pearls the other female lawyers are wearing. Look at the female justices and the even Justice Secretary Delima, they got the biggest south sea pearls. There is a silent rule on this, wear 15 or over. It's about giving your dress and accessories the job to do the intimidation or say things that you won't be able to. If you have the finest things, then you will lord it over, if you control the arguments. That is what we call form and substance. The two should go together.

In my early years of practice, I bought the most expensive piņa and it worked to my advantage. It concealed my inexperience. Now, I am a bit relaxed...it's giving the first impression. It's introducing yourself to the world of sharks. I believe this is true in any other employment environment. Well, young executives like Mark Zuckerberg might be an exception, also the late S. Jobs...

I always like using sonnet in signing legal documents and clients notice that. Once clients noticed it, you'll stop buying those, they buy it for you. Even my husband likes buying pens for me. I prefer blue.
dress for success sabi nga.... steve jobs and mark zuckerberg are dressed for their success in their fields...

must maintain that image kahit magutom ka. that image can make you rich.... kasi nga you are aiming for success.. kung kakain ka na ngayon baka bukas hindi ka na makakain kasi nga palubog ka na...

It's nothing spectacular naman. Mas masarap pa Gavino's. I'll be first in line when they open a branch at Makati or Fort.

People from the Sales Department that brings money to the company by selling the product created by the IT people from Design and Development do bother to dress properly.

I don't think Steve Jobs is known for power dressing. In fact doesn't he always wear a black turtleneck and blue jeans?

They should, just like my boss/company owner in New Jersey who do most of product presentation and closing deals. IT designer and developer's power dress is the product that they build, that alone speaks a ton about them.

Actually may salary naman pero wala commission/incentive and if hindi ka na tumatarget, well as they say, salesmen nasa chopping block naman palagi.

He has nothing to prove, or any inclination to impress anyone. For as long it writes then that's good enough. My former retired millionaire client won't even mind if its a cheap ass pen for as long as it writes.

May kasamang litanya pa yan pag panay expenses ang pinipirmahan.... "Bwisit puro gastos!"

his corporate culture is way different from ours. Our signature is intended to last for at least 50 years. That's why we need a good pen. Yeah, his signature is not needed so long as the intended purpose is already served. Ours would go up all the way to the SC.

Multi-billionaire chairman recently bought a fake rolex in china and he wore it for just one day. Eh ung isang executive naka genuine rolex.

He shows them off and quipped "bakit, pag sinuot ko ba yan, isipin ba nila (ng tao) na fake ang suot ko?!?" sabay ngiti.. hahaha. Yan ang tamang pagdadala ng pagiging professional SC!
