Meron din B V hehe.
Yung mga magagagandang lower class SCs, do they do that to attract rich men? Who are they trying to fool then? I'm sure these men know their background and are after them for their looks and not because they are "sosyal"

peace.
^That's how I feel too. Wala naman problema to buy nice things and to go to nice places. Ang nakakainis lang, people who do it on pretense.
no problem if one can really afford itThe way i read their comments parang SC ka na if you dare use an iphone....
...use a dslr, drink coffee....
but if people go into debt to live a lifestyle that they can't really afford just to prove to other people that they're moving up in life.... then they're subject to social commentary
Meron akong nakasabay sa elev, matandang losyang kasama yung anak niyang babae na kala mo lalaki dahil sa balbas, paenglish english pa di naman matuloy, at janitor pa yung kinausap. "uhm where is the ano... The acute something" so sinagot siya, nagopen yung elev sa 2nd floor then ske asked 5 freaking times if the it waa the 3rd level already. Duh hinde ba obvious ang laki laki ng 2 sa harap nya. Then instead of pressing the close button she pressed the door hold button coz she couldnt find where the correct button was. Sobrang WTF hahaha hay nako feeling sosyal!

Meron kanina mag boyfriend/girlfriend na nakapila sa J. Co, nag dedebate kung ano lalagay sa status.
Image is everything nga. That's a sad reality especially for employees, there's such a thing as power dressing. Some people may argue that as long as you are a performer, the way you dress should not matter. That's true, but given everything equal, the employee that carries himself or herself better already has an advantage.
I remember being taught in etiquette class at school na when we start working we should invest in a good (expensive) pair of black shoes and leather bag. We were also taught to use a good pen at work, but that's too much I think.
^^^ Sadly, for some people,- image is everything...
(Excuse me,- kumakalam na ang sikmura ko...)

^^ There is such thing as : "You need to dress the part".
In school, even without our professors compelling us to follow the dress code, we would rather fail in a bloody recitation with grace and style. This holds true in courts, lawyers would always look at how big the pearls the other female lawyers are wearing. Look at the female justices and the even Justice Secretary Delima, they got the biggest south sea pearls. There is a silent rule on this, wear 15 or over. It's about giving your dress and accessories the job to do the intimidation or say things that you won't be able to. If you have the finest things, then you will lord it over, if you control the arguments. That is what we call form and substance. The two should go together.
In my early years of practice, I bought the most expensive piņa and it worked to my advantage. It concealed my inexperience. Now, I am a bit relaxed...it's giving the first impression. It's introducing yourself to the world of sharks. I believe this is true in any other employment environment. Well, young executives like Mark Zuckerberg might be an exception, also the late S. Jobs...
I always like using sonnet in signing legal documents and clients notice that. Once clients noticed it, you'll stop buying those, they buy it for you. Even my husband likes buying pens for me. I prefer blue.
