Actually, it's not the act of going to the TFF concert or to SG per se, but how people try to make it known or present it to everyone else around.

In the case of the group i encountered, kaya ko naman napansin was because napaka-loud nila sa loob ng elevator tapos pa conyo taglish pa kung magsalita. Marami akong kilala na talagang inaabang yung TFF concert (myself included... sad i missed it) pero when they make it known, simple lang naman and walang dating na "off" to the casual observer. Pati yung mga nag tratravel, they do so because they really love to and they don't make a big deal about announcing the travel preparations (pre-travel pa lang yan ha) to everyone outside of their close family or close friends who may be coming along or whatever.

Maybe those guys never even had a tape or CD of this:

*Shadow: First time ko to see this pero feedback nung iba mas fantastic daw yung iba dati (Chaos?). Na trip ko lang yung juggler, yung platform swing act na may hinahagis tsaka yung malinis na comfort room na rin. Oks na rin yung kumuha ng audience (planted ba yun?). I just finished reading all 62 pages and I literally LOL'd at OB's posts!

On topic, I find social climbers quite amusing. At least may entertainment value. Ang nakakairita yung mga mayayabang.

First thing that came to mind when I saw that video was that the hysterical woman was so pretentious, in other words pasosyal. I would not necessarily call her a social climber because we do not know who her friends are. If we're going to be strict about it, social climbing is making friends and keeping up with people of higher social standing.

Evidently, this woman has the mistaken notion that she belongs to the upper crust of the society. What I find so contradictory is that she's trying to pass off as someone with class, when in fact she broke the first rule of class which is that well-bred people do not get hysterical in public. As a rule, well-bred people do not show extreme emotions eg hysterical laughter or crying. She could have spoken in Latin and still it's unacceptable. One could easily tell that English is not her first language, which is probably why she had nothing else to say but "amalayer" during her spell. Who's she trying to fool?
