no. it's like suicide. japan nga eh sising alipin sa nangyari sa fukushima tapos tayo hahabol pa? i think it would be better if they focus their attention into lobbying harsher punishment to those who pilfer electricity.

Nuclear Power plant has a low carbon foot print and we have to be realistic na the Philippines needs one to meet future requirements.

Visayas siguro para in the middle and easIer to distribute whatever it generates. Too south delikado maging target ng extremists.

    well,
we have to remember why it was mothballed years ago, in the first place.
    then ask ourselves,
    "what has changed?"

I think a few countries like the US offer disposal services. They also take care of the heavy water (neutron-saturated). These can be used for other purposes.

Some modern reactors are not purposely built for uranium or plutonium enrichment. Unless of course, we want to build a dirty device in the future.

    exactly everyone's sentiment.

    IMO, to make it work.
the plant should have a 50km radius away from anything... and every establishment built inside the 50km radius should have free electricity.

We as a country run by this type of bureacrats ain't ready for nuclear power. The bad track record of taking care of gov't properties and ningas-kugon mentality are just too glaring and rampant.

I'm ok with Nuclear power as long as it is ran and managed by foreign companies... Maybe from EU or US wag lang China... I don't think Filipinos in the Philippines are disciplined enough to manage it with risking a catastrophic outcome..

    in truth, "it's de cajon."
what they can't handle, is politics.

Should the Philippines reconsider nuclear power?
