settling here in Philippines is good, but its not the sweetest.
been going back and fort pampanga-alabang , visisting our new office and looking for a place to stay temporarily. my usual route is Nlex, EDSA, Slex-Alabang. pero kakasawa minsan traffic sa EDSA lalo pag gabi or rush hours na. meron pa bang ibang ruta? medyo matagal na rin ako di nagdadrive sa MM area kaya usual way lang ako.
thanks!

NLEX, EDSA to Cubao, go to C5 by making a U-Turn at Crame and going left on Boni Serrano to C5, or going left at Ortigas... then C5 to SLEX.
Or you could U-Turn at SM City and go straight to QC Circle, then go to Katipunan from there and on to C5, but that's complicated... it's easier to get out on Quezon Avenue, then to East, through the new shortcut to Araneta then C5, but it's even more complicated, and it's easy to get lost if you don't know the way.
Problem is, you can't get on the Skyway from C5, and the traffic is nearly just as bad as EDSA.
The best way to do it is to just go at off-peak hours...Last edited by niky; April 26th, 2007 at 02:10 PM.

NLEX - EDSA - take uturn at MUNOZ - enter CONGRESSIONAL all the way to the end - right turn at VISAYAS - uturn at MCDO visayas - turn right at CENTRAL all the way to commonwealth (before shell) - uturn at the fist uturn to go to OLD BALARA ROAD - enter OLD BALARA all the way to KATIPUNAN/C5/SLEX
option 2 (better if edsa/west is clear)
NLEX - EDSA - NORTH AVENUE - CIRCLE - UP - KATIPUNAN/C5/SLEX

Back to topic....kung gabi, the best option is really to go EDSA.
On any other traffic days/nights (like storm, floods) always take EDSA...lagi itong moving.
Alternative roads from Pampanga to Alabang:
NLEX-straight to A. Bonifacio (don't turn to EDSA) - on the intersection go straight to MAYON st. - turn right to P. Florentino St. (one way lang ito and this is the second to the last street before reaching Welcome rotonda/Recto St) - pagdating sa dulo turn left sa Forbes Blvd - diretsohin mo lang ito - taking the overpass to Nagtahan Bridge and you'll end with Quirino Avenue then turn left sa SLEX. From there you can take the SKYWAY if you want.
This route is shorter than NLEX-EDSA-SLEX by about 10km pero pagnapatiempo ka sa truck time eh grabe ang trafic ng A. Bonifacio.
This route is not good during the morning rush pagpasukan kasi maraming schools na madadaanan dito during the early morning.
This is usually good on a North to south route than South to North route.
