Real life experience here. Kaso nanagalog ang 'mommy' eh we use our native tongue sa bahay so ayun buking.

Think like a terrorist, thief, burglar, robber, kidnapper or a con artist when assessing weaknesses and vulnerability. If you can, do some security exercises with your household helpers and family members.

August 17th, 2015 11:34 PM #86Test Drive Threat
Scene of the crime: Carnappers pose as buyers who will test drive the car you’re selling--and later steal it at gunpoint.
Plan of attack: Faux buyers respond to your "car for sale" ad and ask for a test drive. So, of course, you accompany them. Later, they drive the car to a secluded area where they force you out at gunpoint.
Defense mechanism: To avoid this carnapping trap, it’s best to let a seasoned used car dealer handle the sale. If you want to sell the vehicle yourself, you dictate the test driving route and bring along one or two companions. If the "buyers" balk at this, then you should refuse to let them take your car for a ride. We also suggest discreetly taking photos of all potential buyers before you go on a test drive. This way, if they turn out to be thieves, you’d have something the police could use to hunt them down. (ncrpo)

August 24th, 2015 03:01 PM #88Get to know your police chief and members of the police station in your area. Write down the station’s emergency hotline number in a place you can easily see in case you will need police advise or assistance. Use your police force – they are ready, willing and able to keep you, your family and your neighborhood safe and sound. (PNP)
