    Maybe, you mean "executed".

OT: Even here in the Phils, Japanese bars/clubs don't allow Filipinos to enter the bar/club if not accompanied by a Japanese.

Here, even if you have a Japanese friend with you, many bars still won't let foreigners in, including Pinoys. My cousin (and his Japanese neighbor) showed me areas in town to stay away from lest the local yakuza goons focus their attention on me if I got too nosey.

I'm just here on vacation and letting my leg heal. So it's probably not worth getting worked up over. Still, once I get back to the US and a Japanese say "we fellow Asians"..... I'd probably think, "Yeah, right. You lying b*****d"....

Sorry if I ruined this thread about Saddam's death. But, everything I related here is still very fresh in my mind. Given an opportunity to come out, it came out in *******s.

Make no mistake, Japan is a fun place for Pinoys. Just be aware that there are areas where we're not welcome and our business not wanted....

    Ok. I'm done.........

I like Japan. But, I still have a distrust for the Japanese.

OT din to: about the picture, the reason why most of the pubs here ay may ganyang rule, is because to prevent problems. Based sa mga experiences ng uncle kong japanese, who also owns a PUB here for 14 years, mga foreigners, esp filipinos ang nagiging problem nila, like magra-run away yung talent nila sasama sa bf nyang pinoy, may iba rin na rumaraket sa loob. Di naman siguro discrimination yun. I think sa mga clubs or pubs lang ang may ganyan.

    Japan OT:
Lack of PR lang po yan. Mahina talaga sa PR mga Hapon. The international standard is: "We reserve the right to refuse service."

Mahina kasi siguro sila sa Engrish...

Ok. I promised I was done. But, what the hey. If you noticed the person who owns that website, he's fluent in Nippongo. He's a naturalized Japanese citizen, has a Japanese passport, has a Japanese wife with their kids born there. Yet, he was refused entry on basis that he looked "foreign".

If that isn't racial discrimination, I don't know what is. No amount of excuses (be it to keep the peace, or poor command of the english language) can justify it. I don't know how you people were raised. But, I was raised by my folks believing I'm on an equal footing with everyone else. When I see stuff like these, it really disappoints me. Obviously, I'm not in my home turf. So it's best to keep my mouth shut. But, if this was in AZ, I'd be joining the mob wanting to torch the place down.

Those signs....... replace "foreigners" with "colored people" and they'd fit in perfectly in the (US) Old South of the 50's and 60's. They wouldn't sit well with people back home.

And certainly, I lost all notions of the Japanese as being "fellow" Asians. Asians, maybe. Fellow? Nah.

I think Kim Jong Il of North Korea is actually the bigger threat to the rest of humanity than Saddam.

the death of Saddam is like planting seeds for World War 3, like ngayon ang dami na naman terror ang nangyari nakita ko sa news.

Parang conspiracy theories, di ba US din ang nagtrain kay Saddam before? tapos ngayon si saddam ang nasira ngayon. Also Bin Laden, bestfriends ang tatay ni Bush Jr. and Bin Laden before, tapos ngayon lumalabas na sya ang terrorist mu la ng 9/11?

The last time I had a long stay in the Philippines was during Marcos' time. I'm probably a bit behind the times. So. I have to ask what kind of foreign practices?

Marunong mag-handle ng sitwasyon. i'm a recognized filipino citizen. i have a philippine passport and a foreign one. this is allowed in philippine law. i don't know why. Hirap kaming magkapatid maghanap ng work. i had one experience where one human resources officer inside his office keeps shouting my name ang laughing hard afterwards. Although minsan nakakainis talaga.

The timing was not good. Kahit na anung sama naman niya, I think he does not deserve to die that way. Kung nakita nyo sana yung nakuha sa cellphone na video, they kept on taunting him before death.

Retribution and not forgiveness is the theme.
