im planning to go to zamboanga by RORO...sa small car like my charade..magkano ba pamasahe? at sa batangas pier lang ba ko pwede sumakay?

seriously, i would suggest the bicol-sorsogon-matnog-allen(samar)-san juanico-leyte(liloan)-surigao route. two roro hops lang ito and very scenic ang route.
may hourly trip (24 hrs) sa matnog mga 800php (including driver) for suv, baka mas mura pag car. expect around 1000 sa liloan port. masama nga lang ang road sa samar pero kaya ng car medyo iwas-iwas lang. liloan port from tacloban leyte is 146 km.. bring photocopy of or/cr ang your driver's license. one for each port and back.

opps, my mistake zamboanga pala...teka di pa ako umabot dyan...hehehe but pede din siguro yun route ko. kaya lang no idea ako how to hop from mindanao is. to zamboanga.

mayrun siguro...search mo nalang sa web, go philippines website. could take you more than a day siguro kasi mabagal ang roro kaysa passenger ferry.

Never traveled the Zamboanga route before but I once planned to kay lang malayo masyado. If you want more info, you can search the web for Philippine nautical highway, I used to get information there.

I also planned to travel from Surigao-Manila about 2 months ago and inquired about the Ferry expenses. Surigao-Liloan is now P4,000 (unless they have increased again) which is about 3 times what it was 3 years ago. I would guess the Sorsogon rate would now be about P2,000.

I have shipped several vehicles to Mindanao (Manila to Gensan/Surigao). The rate was about P1200 per cubic meter (but that was about two or three years ago. Sukatin mo na lang ang car mo and also browse the WG&A website, you can get their rates for different vehicles and destinations.

i don't know kung meron direct from batangas to zamboanga... base from the site yung meron is batangas-dumaguete-zamboanga.

pwede din mag superferry or negros navigation ka from manila to zamboanga.

I suggest you bring comforter plus pillows especially if you're travelling with children.Nung nag-RORO ako punuan, kawawa yung may mga kasamang bata, ang hirap matulog. Buti na lang solo lang ako noon, di na ako nagdala ng sasakyan kasi gusto ko muna makita road conditions at saka yung haba ng travel.

So far, ok ang mga daan meron lang maiiksi na depressed roads from Caticlan to Ilo-ilo via Antique. Usually mga 20 meters lang naman.

AFAIK, walang deretso from Batangas to Zamboanga. You'll travel points will be:

Batangas to Calapan via Ferry mga 2 hours
Calapan to Roxas (drive) it's about 3-4 hours yata
Roxa to Caticlan via Ferry (again) 4 hours
Caticlan to Ilo-ilo (drive ulit) 6 hours siguro
Ilo-ilo-Bacolod via Ferry ulit (mga 2 hours)
Bacolod to Dumaguete (drive na naman) not sure
Dumaguete to Dapitan via Ferry ulit -not sure kung gano kahaba

Sa mga may exp na, kindly correct na lang po kung may kulang at mali sa mga nabanggit.

on a fine weather, dikit-dikit talaga... adjustment on space between are made pag sea is rough, and trucks are fastened to the roof ng roro to limit if not to avoid sideward movements...
