Daan ka sa Marquee... Bili ka ng dark brown, dark blue, or black tie with light accents (lines or small dots, etc.) sa Marks and Spencer or Memo, or yung outlet store ng branded kung may mga sale stuff sila. Kung ayaw mo bumili, pahiram ko sa yo yung suot ko ngayon na dark brown tie, baka bumagay. :D

Or hanap ka rin ng Buzz Lightyear na necktie tulad nung sa avatar mo.

And don't get a skinny tie! Yung medium width or medyo slim lang, pwede na. Dapat tama siya sa fit ng mga polo na meron ka.

Sayang wala si OB... i'm sure mabibigyan ka niya ng fashion tips din sana. ;)

if the indicated attire is formal and still in doubt, come in barong. it's the national formalwear. only time i go in suit is if it's specifically requested, or in tagaytay or baguio. malamig..

^ The thing is, going back to the first post, Boybi's attending a debut. I haven't encountered a debut party where the attendees wore barong. At least with the suit, he can remove the tie and it'll already look less formal if need be. Or even dump the coat later on and roll up his shirt sleeves.

Wow, formal AND pastel colors attire. A little too imposing on the guests IMO. Some may prefer not to attend because of such requirements. But anyway, back to topic...

Combining formal and pastel color, well, it doesn't look like it's that formal anymore. You may be able to get away with the Clooney no-tie look , if you can pull it off (medium to light grey suit with pink buttoned shirt underneath?) Also, wearing a simple blazer is also a whole lotta better than the jacket-less long-sleeve with tie look.

Oh, and if you are going to go with a long-sleeve barong, please be sure to wear long-sleeve undershirts as well.

The rules for formal attire for guys is simple --> barong (with white shirt) or black suit with white long sleeve shirt.

Question on formal attire
