I am planning to buy me a new pair of sunglasses, kaya lang medyo hesitant ako to buy the branded/expensive ones. Pansin ko kasi sa mga affordable ones, okay sya when worn indoors kaya lang when you step outside, para akong nahihilo. Feeling ko nakalutang ako. What causes this? Ganito din ba yung mga branded ones?

    Thanks.

bro ito totoo kasi kasamahan ko sa trabaho nangyari ito

may edad na sya mga late 40's then one time sabi nya sa akin nahihlo sya so kala namin high blood sya test dito test doon bali halos three days sya sa ospital for observation and mri pa yata kasi baka may pumutok na nerve sa utak.

ALAM MO FINDINGS... IMITATION SUNGLASSES dahilan. and nothing to do with any heart related problems ang pagkahilo nya. so ayon pinagtatapon mga cheapy ones nya he didn't even give it to somebody kasi sabi nya baka makaipecto pa sa pagbibigyan.

The trouble with the affordable ones are usually quality of the lens. They do not account for curves, or the thickness is not uniform, hence the "hilo", "floating" sensation, even incorrect depth perception. Invest in good sunglasses with UV protection.

an optometrist friend told me that it is always a must to wear shades when you are outdoor to have a proper protection, your eyes arent sensitive to UV rays right now but as you grow old the degradation doubles, nothing is worng to wear sunglasses, just be sure that what you are buying and wearing has the ample UV's protection.

buy the orig= fakes doesnt really provides proper UV protection... check the ranges of UV protections as well, theres UVA, UVB and some more

The primary job of any pair of sunglasses or shades is to protect the eyes from the sun's glare therefore the issue of U.V. or ultraviolet rays protection is the most important feature to be considered when buying a pair.

I always go for the branded ones (RayBan, Oakley, Rudy Project) not because I want to impress my friends but because I can be sure that they can offer the best U.V. protection. They are pricey, yes, but quality ain't cheap and I can't put a price on my eyes .

I use branded ones for driving. Pero I keep the cheap ones for beach trips para OK lang kung mahulog sa tubig or magiwan or magka-kalawang.

i think meron din naman affordable ones na pwede narin.
pag talagang hirap ka at nakakahilo ang mga japeyks, then go for cheaper originals.
no idea about it, japeyks din gamit ko eh- joakley, rai-van, pollice. :hysterical:

Honga pala, one brand that's good and cheap is Spyder

Get the polarized lenses since that is their top-of-the-line lenses that offers excellent U.V. protection just like Oakley polarized models. It only costs a little over P1,000!

i'm using Spyder too with interchangable lenses. got it for 1.2k sa Southmall.
    lenses nya:

    a) Amber Yellow, which i use when i play golf
    b) Red na one way which i use pag beach
    c) Dark black, pag normal outdoors lang.
    d) Light tints. pag medyo hazy ang weather pero nakakasilaw.

don't be hesitant in buying expensive/branded glasses, sulit naman e. had my oakleys for 3 years now wala pa rin problema. as mentioned by others, kung mejo small ang budget mo for these things, go for the cheapest that will give you the best protection.

baka lang lumabo or sumakit ang ulo mo pag kung ano ano lang glasses ang binili mo. had a pair of i2i's before, nagluluha ung isang mata ko whenever i wear them so something is definitely wrong with them, baka may grado.

and when buying sunglasses, make sure to buy ones that are fit for your lifestyle. I bought some mosimmo's before (mga 4K), mejo metallic ang design. tapos i wore them sa beach, after week tumutuklap na yung tint. I think it might be because of the salt in the air.

I am using Raybans right now. My previous pair of Rayban Wayfarers lasted over 10 years before i gave it to my sister since the frame was getting tarnished. I had a Rudy Project that only lasted me less than a year because the hinge along the handles gave way. I sent it to the service center and they haven't gotten an idea of when it can be fixed since it was a phased out model.
