Pacquiao is no Fighter of the Decade?
    Mayweather Sr.
    ABS-CBN - Wednesday, June 16, 2010

Floyd Mayweather, Sr. and Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
MANILA, Philippines – Floyd Mayweather, Sr. has not yet gotten over the fact that the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA) bestowed the Fighter of the Decade Award on Manny Pacquiao instead of his son, Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
“Pacquiao ain't no f***ing fighter of the decade. He is a p**sy,” Floyd Sr. told Percy Crawford of FightHype.com.
“Pacquiao has 2 draws and a loss in this decade. Lil Floyd is undefeated in this decade and in his career,” argued the elder Mayweather.
The Filipino boxing superstar, a 7-division world champion and the Sarangani Province congressman-elect, has 51 wins (with 38 knockouts), 3 losses and 2 draws.
The unbeaten Floyd Jr. of the United States has 41 victories with 25 knockouts.
Floyd Sr. went on to ask what would happen if Mayweather defeats Pacquiao in their possible showdown which is being negotiated by Top Rank, Inc. and Golden Boy Promotions.
He said, “What award they gonna give my son when he whoops Pacquiao?”

According to Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar de la Hoya, they are “very close” to finalizing the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight deal. (Read: De la Hoya: Pacquiao-Mayweather almost a done deal)
Floyd Sr. then took a shot at the BWAA for handing over its first Fighter of the Decade Award to Pacquiao.
“That's the kind of sh*t that hurts boxing. It makes no sense. Too many people in the sport don't know what the f**k's going on. That kind of sh*t right there is why boxing stays on the ropes,” he lamented.
Aside from being declared as Fighter of the Decade, Pacquiao was also named the Fighter of the Year early this month in New York.
BWAA President Jack Hirsch explained that Pacquiao had more dominating victories from 2000 to 2009 such as his KO wins over Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Oscar de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto.
The Filipino boxing icon edged Floyd Jr. and Joe Calzaghe, both undefeated fighters, in the BWAA voting. (Read: Why Pacquiao won Fighter of Decade Award) – With reports from Examiner.com and FightHype.com

Undefeated just means you haven't picked on opponents strong enough to give you a challenge.

Hell... many no-name opponents lined up for big name boxers in big matches are supposedly "undefeated", and yet snap like twigs when put up against a real boxer.

But if you take on the best and dominate them, then yes, you deserve accolades. In their fights against big name opponents, Pacquiao has dominated them better than Mayweather, so I think he's deserving, at least, of that recognition.

As to whether Pacquiao is better than Mayweather? I guess we'll find out this year.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

nah.. just let the camp of Mayweather talk all they want. they're already used in making a fool out of themselves.

people around the world already knows what pacquiao and mayweather are, just read other forums, comments on youtubes and such. they know what mayweather is really made of, and what manny has proven. even if the fight doesn't happen, we still know the latter is the true and has proven to be the best pound for pound king so far.

mayweather can thrash talk all they want but when the time comes, manny's fist will do the talking to the thrash.
