1st - get the agreement into writing at the time of purchase, e.g. amount to be paid, date due.
2nd - on date due and payment is not received, send a notice. Do this up to three times, say every 30 days, depending on your cash flow.
3rd - send a letter indicating that the amount is still unpaid and you would appreciate immediate payment.
    4th - have a lawyer/collection agency do it.

One other tip is to price your product or service in such a way that paying immediately has discounts.
we have did this with one of our clients, but sadly, 7 months na yung utang nila sa amin...

pag sinisingil mo, daming che-che boreche, kesyo may issue daw sa software, kesyo, kailangan pa daw ng discount, kesyo kailangan daw ng support and training, kesyo kailangan daw i-extend yung software license. but everything was detailed on the contract from the start.

to the point that we have decided to stop the support dahil ang laki na ng cost namin sa kanila. masyado na kaming nalulugi.

up to the time of this writing, hindi pa din sila nagbabayad. we are also contemplating on the use of a collection agency or at worst, doing some legal action.
