RE: Tolerance and Islam: It's less a reflection on the religion itself and more a reflection on certain Muslim fundamentalists and the hardliners dedicated to Shi'a law. Not all Muslims are fundamentalist, and I've known some very relaxed ones in my time.
Problem is, a lot of Muslims are very devout, and are easily misled by leaders with political or military aims in mind... it's really up to the moderates to make themselves be heard and show the world that Osama bin Laden, the Hezbollah and the Iraqi President aren't the only faces of Islam.
Pero natatawa ako when I see "protests" of a few hundred or a few thousand fundamentalist rioters on TV... parang yung "hakot" crowd style ng Philippines... very overhyped...
