It's scary, that whoever made this decision are the ones in charge of our security inside a mall. Yaiks!

What the jewelry store in the mall needs is an alerting system using duress button hidden out of plain view that sends a light and siren to all entrances and exits and alerts law enforcement(e.g.: vindicator system). In addition authorize the establishment to the use of TASER and/or pepper spray

Typical reaction. So construction workers will not be allowed to use hammers inside malls.

...customers who will buy the tool will only be given a receipt, which they will have to use to claim the item outside mall premises.

Simpletons! They call this a solution? I call it a JOKE! It's not even funny.

How could we deter crimes with this kind of thinking? Could other countries come up with solutions as idiotic as this? It's not exclusively our leaders fault, this is the result of collective stupidity! We are an archipelago full of morons!!!
for one, no more "martilyo gang". :D

Engot no? Dapat ipagbawal nalang ang jewelry shop... or lagyan nila ng sign sa front door ng SM: "Martilyo gang not allowed inside premises".

Exactly. Kahit na siguro yung me protective coating like in windshields these days. Yes they'll eventually smash through it but they'd have bullets in their heads by then. And i think the stuff they're trying to protect is well worth the investment.

Tsaka tadtarin ng CCTV cameras sa malls...put ones that are permanently aimed at cashiers of hardware stores para me suspect list kaagad sila pag me nangyari.

Somebody mentioned this earlier: there's really no way of preventing someone from buying guns+ammo and starting mayhem inside the mall. i was shocked when one sporting goods store placed a gun on table, tiangge-style, in front of their shop during a mall-wide sale. Yes i know wala namang immediate danger, but it doesn't seem in line with promoting good gun ownership/responsibility.

Ok lang to restrict everyone else's cars kasi di naman sila (politicians and government officials) affected by traffic coding.
