Wala akong kilalang ganyan. Kahapon kasama kong relatives 1 primary doctor at 2 anesthesiologist, they are now in their 80s and retired. Maginhawa naman buhay nila.

cathey young experience mo kasi pang makati lang. Napag-iwanan na just like glorietta.

Late 90s to early 2000 naging ganyan trend doctor na tapos magnunurse pa.

Kaya nga si st lukes mataray sa nurse. Ginagawa silang stepping stone. So ayun may resbak.

Kailangan mo pumunta sa mga lungga-lungga. 80years old na yang kamag-anak mo so hindi yan yung panahon na tinutuokoy ko. Kapanahunan yan ng tatay, uncle and auntie ko.

Nag nurse yun to get one foot in the door kasi probably nurses were needed at the time, not doctors. Who knows?

After passing the board exam, I know of one of our batch who never bothered to practice medicine at all. Who would any of us (classmates) be to judge what she wanted to do with her life?

Pero kunsabagay, they were from a very well to do family and owned their own small hospital in the province (50+ something beds) and had various medical supply businesses. She also got married to an equally well to do doctor. Even now, her financial net worth is still much, much, more than some of us who continued to work our *sses off through residency training and naging fellow

Happy naman siya. Nasa tao yan.

sumakay po sila sa sasakyang pandagat, at tinawid ang atlantic ocean. karamihan ay galing sa europa. umalis raw ang iba sa europa, upang takasan ang makitid na pag-i-isip doon. yung iba naman, ay "for the adventure".
you have to see a really white caucasian, to understand why they came to be called "white man" by the native americans.

yung tinutukoy mo sigurong asean, ay yung mga naglakad from asia to america, via land bridges by the bering strait. sabi ng iba, mga galing hapon o pinanggalingan rin ng hapon, ang mga yan. yun ang mga naging american indians na kalaban ng cowboy.

    kags,
there are racists over there. plain and simple. not all, but present.
anyone with darker skin than theirs, is fair game.
heck, even fellow whites is fair game, if they happen to have come from the less acceptable places in europe.

why work as nurse and not as doctor, over there?
it's their choice, based on their personal values. personally, i see nothing wrong in it. inggit nga ako, e. they get to turn off their pagers and phones at night.
but i do not think you will understand, because you appear to be neither doctor nor nars.

are you among those chosen few, who feel that "you went there.. you got maltreated.. it's your fault because you went there!" ?

if you but only speak straight, i wouldn't have difficulty understanding what it is, the message you wish to convey.

    kanino ka ba pumapanig?
dun sa pobreng nars na pinag-sasamantalahan, o dun sa namamantala?
parang kampi ka yata dun sa nagsasamantalah.

and who is this "intelligencia of the philippines" that you seem to have absolute faith in?

    this i know.
if the cause for migration is strong, nothing will stop them.
what do they think of what the likes of you and me are saying?
    absolutely nothing.

there are lots of reasons why people migrate.. yung iba magulo ang bansa nila (political reasons) kaya nag migrate to US as refugees.. yung iba naman naghahanap nang mas magandang buhay.. yung mga nag migrate from Pinas naman matagal na nagsimula yan.. panahon pa ni Aguinaldo madami nang pumupunta sa USA.. then lalo na after WW2.. madami din nag migrate nung 70s (martial law).. and 80s (edsa revolution).. majority went to the US.. pero madami din sa ibang bansa.. like Australia / NZ, UK and even other Asian countries.. yes madami blue colar jobs.. meron din namang mga professionals..

may mga uncles / aunties ako sa US na retired na ngayon, yung isa from US Navy, yung iba Nurse.. yung iba worked sa Airlines.. yung iba gusto na nilang bumalik dito sa atin.. nag invest yung iba bumili nang condo.. they stay 3 to 4 months here.. then balik sa US.. kasi nandon yung mga anak nila.. going back 2x a year..

Yung mga natitira pa din dito na katulad natin, either they don't have a choice.. or they choose not to migrate..

Meron nga akong officemate.. maganda na buhay dito.. and nasa late 40s na sila.. tinuloy pa din yung plano mag migrate sa US.. to start a new life there..

Kanya kanyang reasons lang yan.. if you're still here and you're doing ok naman.. then good for you..

Calling the Trump administration’s decision “unwarranted and extremely distressing for families of living WWII veterans,” FilVetREP National Chairman Maj. Gen. Antonio Taguba (Ret) notes that “this is another broken promise against our veterans. It is senseless and totally unacceptable to terminate a program that would have allowed children to rejoin their parents. It is patently arbitrary and unjust to target aging and ailing veterans who only have a few years to live.”

Yung mga galing europe, na pinatay nila mga native americans... pero ayun sa history about the oldest discovery, ang bones and muscle structures nyan is parang lalaki doc... malalaki at solid... kasi sanay sa lakad at karga ng gamit, palipat-lipat ng lugar kung saan madami ang food and water...

today's "more popular" americans, aka, hollywood-zed features, are american only in name.
they are actually european. descendants of those who came in boats, to the "new world".

the black-skinned ones, are also descendants of those who came in boats from africa... but in the boats' last-class sections, and not in first class, and vehemently against their wills.

there are also asians who came in boats. the "boat people" of post-vietnam-war, and those latino-esque ones who landed in or near the florida coast.

not to mention, latino-like and/or central america-like indians, ...folks who crossed over down south, from central america.

small features favored by woody areas.
large, tall features favored in grasslands and wide open spaces.
maraming hapon na matangkad... maraming hapon na hindi matangkad.
