yup... that is why I am interested in the Regis program since it is geared for managerial positions.

ummm... nope... di po ako system admin... I deal mainly with business processes & people rather than hardcore IT stufff (like programming, hardware, network, etc.).

I graduated sa Ateneo Regis MBA Program last year.

The experience was great. It took me 2 years and 8 months to finish, kasi I only attend classes once a week. You can finish in half the time kapag 2 classes per week ka.

    3 tips lang.

    1. Choose your professor well.
Get opinions from ex-students. The more you get, the better. Not all professors are good kasi. Some are exceptional, but can be a real pain, while other may give you high grades....pero you learn only very little. May mga na bad trip sa Ateneo dahil na tapat sa sila sa mga walang kwentang profs.

    2. Your classmates will matter.
You will learn a lot from your classmates, most probably more than your professors.

Most classes are like a round table discussion of business cases with the professor as the facilitator.

Masuerte ka kapag maging kaklaseng ay CEO, or VP ng mga multinational companies. Mga entreprenuers are also ok.

Sometimes, a class can be very diverse...sa personality, race, culture, and work background. You will need to learn to work with them even kung nakakainis sila...worst kung mga freeloader lang sila.

All is part of the learning process. Dealing with people and leading the group to a common goal, at least for 8 weeks.

    3. Layout a strategic plan for the subject you take.
Enroll on subject based on what will be beneficial to the next. Don't make compromises...otherwise sayang a pera mo.

    I hope this info helps.

I originally applied for the Ateneo MBA-Regis Program... however, after the Registrar had a little chat with us after the entrance examination, I changed my choice of program to the MBA for Middle Managers (and he just confirmed that I was accepted in the said program).

in the last Business Week magazine survey of top MBA programs in Asia and Australia, only 3 philippine mba stood out: our very own Asian Institute of Management (rank 3), UP College of Business (rank 24) and De La Salle University College of Business (rank 29)......sayang wala Ateneo

Funny, but that it what I used to pay per term in DLSU for 18 units+.

I suggest you get some work experience first, before getting an MBA. The effectiveness of the course depends on how you can apply it in real world situations.

If you don't have work experience, especially a supervisory role, you won't be able to fully appreciate the course.....or perhaps as a MBA grad, I should say "maximize" your learning.

MBA-Regis is pricey. I think Ateneo is still paying for the Franchise fee sa Regis U para sa teaching methodology.

Students enrolled in Regis are more diverse, different cultures/nationalities, fields of expertise, more experienced student....of course, kasama na rin yung mga *(*#*&#$ na people. In half of my classes, mas magagaling pa ang mga students kaysa professors.

Diversity is very important kasi sa learning experience, dahil you have to relate with them in different situations. The more diverse, the better. The student interactions will prepare you for some real hard business decisions in the future.

Pero walang tatalo sa AIM, sa student diversity, grabe talaga....then grabe din ang tuition at US$12,000.

It doesn't mean that MBA-MM is inferior, but you really have to rely on the Professor kasi.

BTW, the registar teaches Finance/Accounting. He's a DLSU MBA Grad. Magaling siya, but can be a real-pain. He was my professor in Financial Management....kahit pinahirapan niya ako, natuto naman ako, so sulit na sulit.

Good luck! You're about to get clobbered with papers, essays, groupworks, presentations, reports, and deadlines.

dapat lang daw magaling ako sa "math". bilangin mo kung sino kakampi at kung sino pwede pa maging kakampi. for or against lang all about numbers hehehe
