Anyone here who is taking up or has already finished an MBA degree?

Can you enlighten me on the workload, schedules, tuition fees, etc?

Am right now eyeing DLSU's MBA Program (held at the Greenhills campus) due to its location (just a stone's throw away from our office).

    Thanks,

Workload, depende how many subjects/units kukunin mo (2x or 3x a week ang classes)
Schedule, night classes yun.. around 6PM onwards.
Tuition fee, around P6K - P7.5K per subject... Di kasi ako sa DLSU, pero sa Rockwell, by subject ang bayad (kahit 2 or 4 unit subject pa yun)...

Make sure meron kang at least 2 years work experience...Good luck and enjoy!

it's around 22K per term... mine is a special program for health care management (hospitals, HMOs, pharamceutical companies, etc) under scholarship from my university where i am working now (uste)

but i don't have any idea about the tuition for the MBA standard and MBA Regis Programs.

    maybe maestro can help...

For MBA regular, night classes yun...I am not sure kung ano ang sked ng MBA Middle Managers (with 5 years experience) at ng REGIS (special program, less than 2 years lang yun buong course).

    2 unit subject - 2 hrs/week
    4 unit subject (core subjects) - 4 hrs/week

ano bang tinuturo sa MBA na wala sa regular college courses? meron bang maitutulong ang MBA if you're running your own business (self-employed)?

sounds like the current university I am about to graduate from.

Sa current University ko kse, 8-10+ years experience in the field with MBA bago sila makapagturo sa Bachelor's degree students.

pang managers na yung regis... while yung standard MBA program ng ateneo is for "future managers".

akala ko babalik na ang Socsargen Marlins

actually, i think an MBA would even be more beneficial to those entrepreneurs and self-employed. i had a 2 week training in Japan that they described as a micro MBA, and the good thing about being self-employed/family business/entrepreneuer is that you can implement what you have learned right away, without the red tape of a normal corporation.

boydapa... laking advantage to have an MBA...

    Thanks,
Enrolled in DLSU's MBA Program last SY 2000. Finished all the units (56 units, including pre-MBA subjects) last 2003. The only requirement I need to pursue before I can get the degree is the OCE.

Started at the GH campus, but was also able to cross-enroll at Taft and RCBC campus. RCBC is competitive, Taft is college-like, GH is the most relaxed.

Classes were from 6-9 pm. Most activities were case studies, some group, some individual. Almost all core subjects have presentations to do in front of the class.

Why I enrolled? I want to get this Management position in the company where I work for. Well, they gave it to me after two years (2002). I was 26 at that time.

"educational background and experience are not the only considerations to get you hired---malaki rin ang nagagawa ng good manners and right conduct---and of course kakilala.."

if dat is the case mukha yata hindi mba kelangan ko ah kundi M.A. in political science. bwisit talaga yan politics na yan ganyan kahit saan. pero it does also have its good and bad points. ako i got in a job before becoz of it.

anyway ang gusto ko sa lasalle ay yun online mba program nila eh---ayoko kasi pumasok sa skul gusto sa bahay lang habang nagtsisikot. sino nasa ganitong program sa inyo? how is it?

    boydapa...

nag try ako dati nung online study... sa UP Open University...
