may kakilalang kano ang friend ko,the american guy got ripped off by this girl from QC, pinadalhan nya ng 1,500 USD, promising him that she will take care of his tour in the Phils. since she said travel agent daw siya, and now the girl doesnt talk to him. im sure dami ng nangyayaring ganito. Mga pinay ( not all) na nanloloko ng mga foreigners online para lg magkapera.

yeah, shame on him too. how long has the internet been around? there are stories and scam warnings in the US media almost everyday. if an American gives money to someone he doesn't know and trust (or a reputable company) without any chance for recourse, then he deserves to get ripped off.
there are any number of reputable, international travel agencies who do business in the philippines. more than likely someone offered him a deal that was too good to be true...and guess what? it was.
