people will flock to mall for an all season weather proof hang out.

Parks are better thou, and its been dwindling in the cities ever since.
Best people can do is go home to their provinces to receive their fresh green scenery.

Like BGC diba, parang reset na nga, start from scratch. Remember the fort pa yun name, with only pier one and le soufflé lang. Youd think na they will do differently from Makati na traffic na.

    only government can do that

but when gov't does allot a piece of very valuable real estate for public use, maglalaway mga businessman gustong gusto mapa-sakanila ung lupa

kaya there are no large open public spaces

Ease of use.

I know this is a mall thread but since urban planning and BGC were specifically mentioned, I would like to share a few cents-

Been living in BGC for a few years now and there has never been a shortage for open spaces all around the skyscrapers. There are parks with shades, jogging and bike pathways and since the pandemic started, al fresco dining sprouted all around proof that there are so much space available to set up the tables. I only visit the mall if I need to buy groceries.

I guess you need to live here to appreciate the amenities.

Does not happen. There are even kids selling stuff (ballpen/snacks) and those from nearby IS allowed inside.

The real eyesore are those undisciplined people who threw their trash around and those uber rich kids (who are non BGC residents) revving their supercars at night.

Sorry, what is SB? Ung picture taking bawal pag professional fotog like with deflectors, zooms, etc. Pero ordinary dslr and smartphones are allowed. Forgot to add the cosplayers and wannabe models posing everywhere and the group dancers practicing their steps.
