Daming branded retail stores have closed lately, especially mga SSI stores...

yung Tien Ma's at yung isang pizza parlor (new york style pizza, but not S & R, I forgot the name) may nakalagay na "opening soon" (besides XO46) dun sa Estancia.

I wonder, darami na kaya ang patrons ng Estancia if Unimart will open? or if the extension opens as well?

oo nga medyo nagulat nga ako nung nagsara ang Wholesome Table eh.

yung Ikkoryu Ramen, bukas pa rin siya. matibay pa rin yung XO46, Ba Noi's, Cafe Mediterranean, Banana Leaf and JiPan.

Speaking of malls with slow pickup and shops closing, UP Town Center comes into mind.

Medyo bago bago pa sya pero dami ng restaurants nag sara especially those mga nauna facing Katipunan. Shrimp Bucket na lang natira among sa original na nag bukas. IHOP sarado na din. Daming restos sa iba't ibang floors nagsara. The old department store there yung Wellworth isang taon lang sarado agad pinalitan na ng Metro. I doubt Metro is doing well too. Aeopostale sarado na din.

Mali lang ata target market. Puro studyante e wala naman per yan gagawin ka lang tambayan. Malakas syempre mga Starbucks at mga mas mura na food and fast foods.

ang panget pa nang layout nyang mall na yan.. we were looking for the cinemas.. ang layo layo and ang init init maglakad.. by the time we got to the cinemas.. nag start na yung palabas..

I think the nearest parking to the cinema would be the upper floors of the multi level steel parking. May daan leading to the cinema.

That wa sthe very first phase. Dami na nga nagsara even the IHOP below sarado na. Malakas lang dyan syempre Casa Verde and Torch. Yung front facing lahat nawala na besides Shrimp Bucket. I suspect Ginza Bairin is next to be axed Yabu is just killing them!

Ginza Barin in Trinoma already closed shop. They lost out to Katsu Sora and their unlimited salad bar... hehehe.

Sinabayan pa ng bukas ng Southwoods Mall, kaya lang i'll give it time before I visit it, baka konti palang ang locators.

and I thought since sumiskat ang Halal food, frontrunner ang Halal Guys. sobrang mahal naman kasi eh, 300 for a meal tapos fastfood style lang

Thats why SM malls are still very strong especially Megamall. They avoid using lots of exterior areas. Everything is accessible walking indoors aka walking with aircon

That's exactly what I hate about SM naman. The building is like one big shoe box. I like malls with lots of greenery like Greenbelt, High Street or ATC.

Gusto ko kasi naaarawan ako. Pag natutulog ako sa tanghali, tumatapat ako sa sikat ng araw

Bakit mga restos na nabanggit dito na mag close malakas naman dito sa Makati/BGC. Except ihop. I think mahina ihop.

Tsaka pag umuulan, sa BGC sarap sana sa High street kaya lang pag mainit or maulan you will prefer to go to indoor malls instead, Aura or Uptown. Tsaka pag meron ka rin bibilhin mas convenient pa rin sa Aura or Uptown.
Sa dami ng mga malls, kaya hirap na mga tenants nila. Parepareho lang naman bakit ka pa lalayo. If your near bgc, di ka na dadayo sa Estancia or Megamall, Traffic ang isa sa reason kaya ayaw na rin namin lumayo.

edit ko lang.. it's not Tien Ma's (naisip ko lang sya while browsing sa IG feed ko), but it's Shi Lin.

yung pizza parlor, it's New York Motorino Slice. No definite date when they will be opening.
